After not flying for a couple weeks and being on vacation,i needed to get out today and get the first flights of 2013 in,so first flight with the sun right in my face (not a fan of launching into the sun) and some nasty wind was on the Swist....Damn my knees were knocking...glad the plane still has that effect on me after all the flights i have on it On that note,i could not imagine going a couple months without flying it and try to get back in the groove,i was behind it this whole flight, second flight went much better.
First flight of 2013,Swist seemed to be the perfect plane to get the new year juices flowing (2 min 31 sec)

Starting to assemble mine finally, and noticed that the screw holes don't quite line up where the wing mounts, did anybody have to rework the fuse a bit where the front of the wing clips in for a better fit?

Wing needs to move forward a bit so the screws line up nice in the countersinks, so I'm sanding away some of the fuse carefully.
I'm assuming that the countersunk holes line up the wing properly perpendicular to the fuse, so you would want the screws to fit nice.

Thats strange? What part of the fuse do you have to sand? I would have thought everything should line up perfectly being a moulded fuse.

I have to sand away some of the fuse right where it meets up with the leading edge of the wing in the photo, so the wing is able to move ahead a bit in the saddle.
So I take it this seems strange from the responses???

It's a moulded fuse so it should line up perfect. Contact the manufacture (if you can) and say they positioned the blind nuts in the fuse to far forward so the wing won't bolt on. I wouldn't mind betting that even if you did manage to get the wing on, the wing saddle won't seat the wing properly and you could then have an incidence issue. Of course thats worst case scenario. But best to contact the builders first and ask why they sent you a $600 airframe that you can't bolt the wing to.
