NOooooo ! Put a jersey on and fly it man ! lol
My plan is :
Strecker 260.15.7 with KPG27 5.2:1
RFM 14.5X14
YGE160
4S
It should have sick climbing power.

No need to rethink the motor when you want more speed and want 6S,just need to rethink prop size

Is it the 8 or the 10Pole Motor?

The 10 Pole would give about 95A and 1400Watt static at 7700rpm,climbrate about 55m/s.
I am confident that the motor and controller would take the 4,2 geared KPG which would be about 2,1 KW static.

If sick climbing power is your target i would think about the 12x17 RFM.If you keep weight low this prop will give much higher climbrate than the 14,5x14.

I should be expecting my Swist in the next week or two.

I can't remember, which is the best Neu 5s/6s motor? I want to make sure I get the best kv for running both voltages.

I want to achieve 200mph easy.....

Thanks

I am buy no means a motor fan boy,as i have had the Neu and Mega, but if you plan on 6S-i would for sure go with a Mega-THEY LOVE IT,as the Neu for sure has had a hard time on 6S-but love 5S.I am not sure the Kv of the Mega 16-45-XX series, but you should take a long hard look at the motor and get something in the 2200 to 2500Kv and make some Wicked 6S power for 200+ all day long.If you get going, you can get a Mega in time for the Swist arrival. If you are dead set on the neu-get the same motor Tim is using in his Viper,as the Kv is around 2200,and put a nice set of Boca bearings in it......On a side note,i remember your Viper posts about the disappointment in speed, that is why i sooooooo highly recomend a good Mega on 6S,it will make the hair on your arms STAND UP every flight. If you want to make it wicked fast, and ultra light, just copy my 6S setup (it was bullet proff) but you would have to cut down your APC props.

Looks like you already have a 1115/2.5d? That's good on 5s with 5.25x6.25 and I bet 6s would be OK on 4.75x5.5 once in flight but I haven't tried it. I don't think the 5s with 5.25x6.25 prop will break 200mph in a swist.

Voodoo: he was unhappy with speed because his battery was missing a cell(or two), not because the motor sucked!

I was unhappy with the Viper on 5S. Just didn't seem that fast.

I thought a kv of 2370 would be too high on 6S with very little cooling?

I have a Mega 16/40.1.5rc 2370kv. I guess I will give it a go, and just check the temps and keep WOT to a minimum at first.

I run this motor currently on 4S with a 7x5 sport.

Johnny: With that neu motor on 5s and 5.25x6.25 prop you're just a hair over 200mph in a viper, krproton has posted details in the viper thread. Perhaps try that mega on 5s with the 5.25 diameter props? Just spitting in the wind I'd say you'll be coming to close to 100a in-flight(lots more static). I think that 6s with 4.75 would be too much current to run continuous (over 100a in flight) but I'm no expert.

That video you said that you really liked of mine, and that is the speed you were looking for,was a Kv of 2550 on 6S.If you have a 16/40/1.5rc.Put a 4.75X5.5 on 6S 2200mah Gens Ace and go NUTZ,that will be a Killer Combo (WELL IN THE 200's).You could also try cutting the prop down to 4.5X5.5,but i think it would be ok out of the bag.

2700mah 65C,as long as you have the ail servo leads to the back of the wing.

So your wing servo wires exit the wing as close to the trailing edge as possible?

I am saving this post, and I will try this setup as soon as I get my Swist.

It should be pretty cold down here by mid December, so hopefully the Mega can take some 30 second bursts.
