That would be pretty neat. If I get time, I'll give it a try

Do you have any more information on this little jet? I like the looks quite a bit, and that bigger skeleton will be fairly easy to cut by hand. I think I'd have to build it at about 20 inches; I've got an AP05 brushless sitting around waiting for a chance to prove itself on 2-cell batteries (I wasn't impressed on single-cell, where it underperformed a Parkzone brushed motor).

It's a bit underpowered as is so it doesn't 3d well, but it's nice and slow and for mild aerobatics it works just fine

I draw or print from a plan the wing, fuselage, tail pieces, etc. I cut around the outline, leaving about 1/2 inch outside the perimeter of the part. I then spray some 3M Spray Mount onto the backside, and place the template-to-be onto a piece of thin cardboard (I save empty cereal boxes for this, as they make nice firm templates). Now cut the template with scissors - and be sure to try out your sharpened tubes to make the corners rounded.
I do something simular. I print out full size patterns on regular paper and then do a light dusting of the paper's backside with a low tack adhesive(Krylon's Easy-Tack). The paper is then stuck directly to the faom and a very sharp knife is used to cut paper and foam together. Peel off the paper when finished cutting.

The only info I can give you is I go the 3-D airplane plans here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ght=shark+bait and I converted them to elevons in Paint shop Pro 7. I already have my templates cut out in 15.5'' and going to use the 6400 and AP03 2-cell. if that doesn't cut it I'll go with a 5-grammer.
TODD

I also have the 3-d plane skeletonized in my blog if you'ld rather have that.

Post #11 now contains an example of how to use a typical "Skeleton Ratio" to estimate the weight of a skeletonized airframe part compared to a solid foam part.

Now you're just giving me too many options to think about. It looks pretty sweet as a conventional plane, too. I think I'd probably stick with the elevon model just for variety.

I'll let you know if I put something together, but it'll probably be a while. First I've got to wear out my new Dynex Nano to free up my Parkzone brick. It might be a few months.

Here's a video of my Ghost Bi-wing. I've got to warn you, it's a pretty bad video. My Hatcam skills arent the greatest, and my camera is getting pretty old. It's got some interesting flight characteristics that I'm still discovering
