In case you missed it..

I know you're going to hate me for this..
Yesterday I tested a different ESC to see if I could limit the windmilling, not perfect but better..
Right at the end you can see my foot as I jumped out of the way on landing.

Elevator Control Wire

No one's reported this as a problem, but I found the elevator control wire much too flexible. While bench testing before maiden, full up input buckled the unsupported portion on the servo side. This was at the shrink wrapped splice joining the music wire z bend to the control wire. The vinyl coated control wire looks like small gauge insulated electrical wire and IMHO, is an accident waiting to happen.

FWIW, I replaced the stock control wire with .032" Sullivan 507 cable rod, with both unsupported ends solder tinned for rigidity.

You need an ESC with a brake and you need to turn the brake feature on.

Looks like some lost interest in the Sky Soar when the price went to $139, plus it looks like Gravity Hobby is basically out of the airplane business.

Dusting mine off and I broke the antenna on the RTF 2.4 Tx.
Just replaced my Rx with a trusty 72 mhz.

Anyone know if the Sky Soar has resurfaced through another name or dealer?

Can anybody help me with how the Sky Soar RC kit fits together.

I'm trying to fix one for a friend but it's all been unplugged and the motor control board blown up by incorrect connection. I have a new module but still unsure of where to plug it in, I don't want to blow it again !

This is what I have:

The channel assignments for the Sky Soar (Flysky) transmitter are AETR, so the speed control plugs into channel 3 on the receiver, with the black wire towards the outside of the case. The Sky Soar charger uses the white plug (balance connector) on the battery for charging. Don't plug it into the receiver.
