Please pay attention to SAFETY
Keep fingers away from moving parts at all times! Motors rated at 4300 rpm per volt x 12 = 51,600 rpm's. First, Transmitter on, THEN connect battery. Disconnect battery, Last Transmitter off. I suspect the ESCs are joined by a "Y" cable. The four connectors each have three wires, black, red, white (maybe orange). Black is minus, red is battery, white (orange) is signal. On your receiver's right should be the channel pins. If the pins point up, the left-most pin goes to the connector's black wire, middle is red, right-most is white signal If the pins point horizontally out the end of the receiver, rotate the unit till the pins point up, the previous sentence should apply. Sometimes, the pins are bass ackwards! see jpg example (below), and carry-on one connector is for (pilot's) right horizontal stabilizer receiver channel 1 one connector is for nose wheel steering, goes to receiver channel 2 one connector is from the ESCs receiver channel 3 one connector is for (pilot's) left horizontal stabilizer receiver channel 6 Battery compartment? Under the cockpit canopy which is held on by magnets. If you have a volt meter, you can discover which connector is the throttle. (If not, skip down to the sentence beginning with "Plug"). Connect the battery. With the voltmeter measure between black and red of each connector. When you find 5 volts DC, label that lead "channel 3". (5 volts comes from the ESCs, and provides power to the receiver and servos). Disconnect the battery. No voltmeter? Plug-in one connector to the receiver's channel 3. (Transmitter left stick is channels 3 and 4) Stick movement back to front is throttle (channel 3) start with stick all the way back. Someone needs to hold the jet on the ground by the nose and wing (If the motors start, you don't want it going anywhere). Turn-on the transmitter. Connect the battery. Push the stick forward, looking for motor activity. Pull the throttle back. No activity? un-plug the connector and plug the next connector into channel 3. Repeat. When the motors respond, leave that connector in channel 3, label. (now, there's power to the receiver) Plug one of the 3 remaining connectors into channel 2 (transmitter right stick) This stick is "spring centered" push forward looking for servo activity. Label the lead and move to the next connector, repeat. Disconnect the battery, then turn-off the transmitter. Re-arrange the connectors in their (now) proper order of channels Hold the plane (left throttle back) Turn on the transmitter Connect the battery Right stick should move the tail surfaces and nose wheel Left stick should operate the motors. Disconnect the battery Turn-off the transmitter. |
