To all lucky enough to own an Android phone........I stumbled across a free countdown timer that looks like it will work great for dlg contests. I set it for 3 minutes and it spoke out loud the time left at both 2 and 1 minutes. It also called out 45, 30, 10, 4, 3, 2 and 1 seconds. Just thought I'd share. I did not search to see if this has been discussed before but do not recall ever seeing one for a non I-phone phone.

It is called (ironically enough)........wait for it.....wait for it........Timer

Hey Bob, just installed it and works great. I had not seen that one before. I like how all of the tasks are already included and it is very easy to just pick one and fly. The one thing that I do like a lot about Timer is the audible feedback on your time left and how it lets you know more frequently as you get closer to zero. I think if the F3K app had this as an option it would be the perfect timer. If you have someone timing for you in a contest then this is a non issue. But for practicing tasks all by your lonesome, the audible feedback seems like it would be great.

The help menu for F3K Timer indicates you can turn sound on or off. I haven't found any indication that there are any sound cues with the program. I'll ask Vitaliy about it. It may be an incompatibility with my Moto Droid or setup.

I have a samsung fascinate and have the sound option enable on the f3k app. Like your moto I too cannot hear any sound or notification.

I have a samsung Galaxy and a complete droid newby. Would love the timer app, to get it I go the the app market icon on the handset and type this in http://www.f3k.biz/ ? I dont have a colon on my keyboard, actually i havent a bloody clue how to get it onto my phone, theres a list of apps I can download but guess what, this isnt one of them ! any help appreciated

I just put it on my droid x. It works awesome!

The bar code points to a dead URL. Just go to the droid market and search for F3K.
