looking good so far

Here are some pics that I came across recently, from SUSA, just to further whet the appetite from what got started in another thread.

Georgi, A++ for making the sexiest prop on the planet! I see your prop gets the RW4 cover shot here. Well desrved for all your R&D.

I love checking out new gear!

Great to see the tail design so elegantly done. Glad they decided on integrating all servos as well; including tail.

I'm curious about those linkages and horns. Are they included / predrilled / installed?

Erik,

The linkages are all done. The tail is done too with ball bearing.
These are the most RTF F5B models I have seen! Wing is super stiff, lots of room in the fuse..
We will get these and the other pics cleaned up, and ready to post the web page in the next 7-10 days.
We have a bunch of new releases for 2011 in stock, so keep your eyes on us! IF you are in Ontario CA on Jan. 7, 8, 9 be sure to come by our booth at the AMA show and see some of these new toys!

Happy Holidays!
Bob

Eric, i am not sure why there has not been a build thread yet. Possibly it is because the plane is RTF, no build required other then bolt in drive and RX.

The production fuselage is now white on the nose and plain carbon on the tail. According to Rainer this was done to save the weight of the paint to further reduce the flying weight.

.

That pretty slick. I'm wondering if cooling / vents are also incorporated allready? perhps under the wing saddles as in previous RW's?

The fuse appears to have a similar shape to Guntmar's plane, being rectangular aft of the wing, rather than round.

If anyone has pics to share of the vents, I'm curious to see this element as well.

Your joking right?

Our european drive trains don't need cooling.

(when i looked one of these planes over in person, i didn't see any cooling holes)

Batts / a 5S option

I have been looking at specs for high end packs currently available to fit this RW4 fuse.

In addition to some Neu 450 gram 5s packs that I allready have, I wanted to check out some other options too for comparisson.

I'm sure there will be many more options available in the coming first mothes of 2011, but here is one option for the slim space and would be aimed at a light weight final result;
-TP3250-5SP45 3250mAh 5-Cell/5S 18.5V 45C-90C 443 grams, 33 x 44 x 136

Can anyone confirm that this pack would fit with the dimensions of 33 x 44 x 136?

Thanks,

Eric

Eric, i am pritty sure that pack would fit easy.

It's the 6S 3250mah that worries me.

Cool, Thanks Joe. I'll be checking it out in person soon enough as SUSA has been so kind as to hold a couple of these til Monday. I'll keep ya posted as to "pulling the trigger".

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to all, time to head out for some family time.

Cheers!
