Exactly what I did also, it works great. The thin CA bonds well enough to check alignment, but still allows repositioning. The tail will fail before a properly applied black CA joint.

I still have that piece of the fusing hanging in my shop as a reminder how well that worked.

Flew the Helios at lunch today. Highlight of the day was the high speed runs home from lift in speed mode @ 60 mph and then hitting a slight bump, hit the flaps, and crank it around and start climbing again. Seems the Helios is very well suited to this particular move as she is almost always correct when she says, stop, turn here!

Thanks for the feedback on your experiences with ca. I'll give it a try on the peg and see how she does.

New Helios being delivered to it's owner this weekend. Pushrod installed and heavier top drive makes for very strong setup. 1.4 mm wire is the ticket. I'm liking this bird, at 250 grams before balancing. Good luck Dave she is strong.

Hey guys,

The tails on my Predator 2 are getting pretty banged up.

I was wondering if these carbon tails are for sale and how much are they ?

Cheers

Flown with the helios this midday.
Peter anen helped me with al the flight phases on my cockpit sx.
Now i've got everthing thermal stand to fly great in thermal.
The helios is really a fantastic glider to fly with, reminds me of the dlg of my dad.
He got a supergee, fly's a bit the same no big defferce between the two glider's.
A good dlg pilot Loet said that i throw really high with the helios, so that's 1 thing in my pocket. Now learn how to fly good in thermal. Peter told me everything about.
And talked about it like 15 minutes. Only wath he does with his ailerons in the thermal.
So all with all great plane!!!! With a great thanx to kristof!
