Kristoff, can I use some spray paint on the wing for a little more color? Was wanting to paint some construction Orange stripes on the Vlad wing, but worry about paint reacting to the wing.

And by sand, you mean just barely roughing it up?
I dont know what 1k acrylic is, but I know its good stuff as I tried to get it off when I added some CF to beef up wingtip around throwing blade and that stuff was on there!!!! I guess worst case is I dont sand enough and it comes off too easily and then I just sand a little more and paint again and there is no loss. |

just touroughly roughen it up with some 600 grid orso and it will be ok. if you remove the dust after sanding you will notice if there are still glossy area's , ifnot go ahead and paint! |

Yes.........I want to cradle it and fondle it for awhile before I fly it in a contest............
From Wave Glider: Set up & flying I like my CG at 73-75mm from the LE. The plane is very lively and signals even the lightest lift at this setting. Mfr recommendation is 68-70mm LE. Others have found success from 65mm all the way back to 85mm. Start at the recommended 68-70mm and move around until you're comfortable. If you fly in a mainly windy area, I would recommend staying at the Mfr setting, maybe slightly forward of it. If you fly in a calmer area, I would recommend moving it back. |

To add a little more information to my recommendations, I now have mine set up so that it never goes back past 73mm. I found 73mm to be the most honest CG setting, for me personally. Much further back than that, I feel like I have to fly the plane too much because it wants to wobble on every little slight indication. However, some people like that so YMMV. I also now have my ballast set up so that is soon as I put it in it moves to CG up to 71mm and each additional hole forward moves it forward about 1.5mm.
