Finally, Xbted... looks like the wait was worth it.
The fuse has the Samurai even... drool.

Very similar to my vlad wing color scheme, of course I love it.

Nice DLG!

Yeah, but the Helios is several steps above the ladies!

PS, glad Mr. Wiz is making the comment I was expecting!

Alrighty, had to come back from far out east, so now I'm home and hopefully can get this plane at least ready to be finished tomorrow. It looks like the weather is going to be beautiful, about 65 degrees with 5 mph winds and mostly sunny, so obviously I'd like to get her maidened tomorrow.

Well, I'm going to stop building for the night- I really haven't gotten much done besides ruin my tail feathers trying to install springs. I'm going to go back into Berlin tomorrow and pick up the materials to do pushrods. I know it's some extra weight, but I've got so much CA on my horizontal and vertical from gluing ripped glass that this is going to be one heavy build anyway. I'm going to do carbon fiber pushrods in a light plastic tube. Can't get the teflon around here

Actually, going to try one last thing here before I give up.

I fiddled with the springs once.... never again. I just think it adds too much complexity for a limited amount of gain.

I'm getting there. I was starting to get tired, so better to hold off on building since sleepy time is when mistakes occur.

I'll be finishing up tonight, so look forward to some new pics this evening (europe time)

After lunch today, I just cant be any happier with the Helios. In spite of launching 1/2 the time w/o a read or even thinking about a read, the Helios found a way to the lift and even when it was that crappy little tiny humpty dumpty lift, she went up, and up, and if I had not held her back I think she would have gone to the sun as she was headed that way with a purpose!!!!!

LOVE THE HELIOS!!!!!!!!!

Did I mention I love my Helios?????
