Alan is correct, you want to use 0 flap on launch. The ZV2 foils are meant to be launched in speed mode, adding camber on launch creates unnecessary drag which will lower the height. I am currently experimenting with a suggestion Gerald made in another thread for the ZV2 by adding -0.5-1mm of reflex for launch mode to decrease drag even more. My results are inconclusive at the moment, as it appears to have neither helped nor hurt the launch height. A more powerful thrower may find a better result from this setting.

Actually my suggestion was that with Zone-V2 wings only super strong throwers might be capable of seeing a benefit from reflex beyond speed mode and that others should just avoid it. The benefit would only really come in for vertical launches, even then. That's from my design and modeling. Other wings such as Edge would show a benefit potentially for average competitive throwers if they like to throw vertically.

Of course the modeling may not be correct and testing for yourself is the best answer.

I wouldnt say that Jon it took me a few days to get it working. what I ended up finding was a conflict on the channel I connected it to. so it was a programming issue not an issue with the OA. Ill have mine with me and my laptop this weekend if there is time lets see if we can get it to work in your plane.

I dont go into relex on launch I keep the wing neutral at the training edge. I tried reflex before my 'incident' and did not see any advantage.

The super strong part was obviously the part I missed If it means anything, though my launches by eyesight measurement didnt look vastly improved, they were quieter.

I used the hobby king "orange" rx with my radian pro I won, and had zero issues. However it's an 8ch, and a little large for my DLG configuration. I am going to try the 3ch s-bus since I am going rudderless.

Ive been using a Orange 8 chanel rx in my A2 since last July and it works fine, its a bit hungry so be prepared to charge or change lipo more often. Take of the plastic casing and it fits with a shoehorn...
