Is that using the 39gsm or the 58gsm fabric?
I think I need more than one!

Whoa dude... That thing is foxy shizzam! I had no idea that kit was going to look that hot all together!

What did you use to color the kevlar nose? That looks great too!

What did you use to color the kevlar nose? Sharpie?

Yep, after I made the repair on that small pin hole... it just grew into an idea. LOL
I like it this way, not the first time I've tinted kevlar with a sharpie marker.

The layout on the wing servos made things go very smooth. I used a .47 wire instead of the carbon tubes. I was tempted to try the carbon pushrod tubes but resisted and went the route I knew better.

I'm short on Teflon and won't get a test flight in today unfortunately.

Looks like it's going to be a fun DLG

Thomas, Kyle can better answer that question on fabric I'd imagine. All I know is whatever it is... the right choice was made for sure.

285's in the fuse
94802's in wing
LiFe 2s 500 battery
carbon pushrods for tails
I'll get an AUW when it's flying and the last drop of glue has been dispensed.

Eric did you by chance measure the length of you top drive push rods? I followed the build log and the push rods were way to long. I'm going to use the same size rods that you did.

That vlad wing looks great! I'm interested in you AUW when it's done. I also like the sharpie job on the fuse.

sorry for this the pushrods need to be shorter on the latest wings due to a diffrent spar , i'll have it update'd soon..

Not a big deal. I glued the Carbon on to the pushrods so I'm going to use heavier pushrods that I have in the shop. I'll figure out the length, I was just wondering if anyone knew the correct length.

Hey Alan,
I didn't measure them when I made the install. The last bend was made after the connection to servo was done and the wire was in place. The Servos were centered then the horns offset just a bit. That's how I start the install process anyway, once this is done the L-bend is made and connected to the servo horn, the rest of the wire just runs past the aileron control horn and is bent after the servo is secured to the pocket. I just keep the ailerons taped in place so I know where to make the last L-bend. At least that's how I've been doing it....; )

Good Luck on the build Alan!
Eric

That is one gorgeous plane! Find some teflon and get her airborne yet?

Thomas, I feel you on the vlad carbon, I've been trying to get some for a few months. Broke down and went for the Samurai 61 g/m^2 spread tow. Hopefully it will look as good in E's fleet next to that all-carbon Helios!
