The 4330 is a good motor for the 70"... I am getting 2700 watts with my 12s and a 19x8 prop. Ken said I was good to 3000 watts in my climate so I have a 20x8 on the way. Will be testing soon. I did have ken wind my motor to 216kv. There is a 298 wind that should spin a 20x8 to around 2700 watts on 8s. One downside to a 8s setup is your buying 4s batteries in the 4000mAh range strictly for this plane... That is unless your running a 4s 60" exp or something else that uses the packs. I'm a fan of sharing packs and 12s worked well for me since I am running 6s 2500-3300 mAh in helis and the 60exp which all work well in my 70"er.

Wish I could afford a 91... Maybe next summer. Is there any plans for the yak in the 60 size?

Is the 91 Yak an EXP as well?

I have a 2s 2500mah in mine from value hobbies. Works great. The radio even has a voltage alarm for lipos. It still balances pretty darn neutral. It has an ever so slight top down angle to it. Im getting 12 hours of on time with the lipo.

I was referring to the 91 extra... Didn't know there was plans for 91 yak.

it is a light setup. Turnigy 3542-1250 on 4-5s starting on 4s. Gotek 9257 servos, Castle Ice 75. 9x9 prop. Right now it is mild so I can do a little bit of high energy stuff. May go bigger later. Im not a speed freak but it should go 120+ pretty easily.

Watted at 1000 watts and 70 amps

That scheme will be on the 91" Yak.

Yes no problem... Two dog Rc has a very nice Dulsky pack that's made for the FG series radio, it costs around $25..

You can't use the wall charger once you switch to a lipo, you have to take it out, and charge it on a standard balance charger..

On the newer 8fg I thought the wall charger and lipos were ok.

I read somewhere that the European version of the eight FG comes with a lipo now, so that might make sense. But if you install a lipo, that doesn't have a Internal balancing board you need to remove it, and charge it on a balance charger, To keep up with the cell Maintenance.

If you purchase a TX pack, and it doesn't have a balance plug, it most likely has an internal balancing board. I know Dulsky does that with there lipo TX packs.

I use a strap. What do you reckon will happen to the balance? Is the battery in the bottom of the TX so as to cause the TX to tilt with the bottom toward the ground?
