I have both the DXI 6 and Dx7 Spektrums. I personally like my DX7. If you're just an avid flier like myself and want simplicity IMO the DX7 is the way to go especially if all you have is Spectrum receivers. The next is Jr as the receivers are compatible. I was a Futaba man but at the time (2010) Spektrum was a bit cheaper with a lil more options so I made the switch. It was not a matter of which was better or worse. It was a matter of more bang for the buck at the time.

It was a great weekend for flying Tim, I agree. We had low winds and high temps all weekend and I got a lot of flying in with my MXS, Extra, Crack Yak, and some other distraction airplanes.

I let my dad try my Extra and he fell in love with it as well.

Just about froze my nuts off today! Only went through one pack and decided to turn it in when I landed flying still.

You should have been down here in Florida for the Deland Huckfest, AJ... 80 degrees, clear, with very little wind until after lunch on Sunday when we were all getting ready to pack up anyway. A great time, great hospitality, and great camaraderie between pilots. Thanks, again, to Flying Giants and the Deland Golden Hawks RC Club.

We were also treated some skydiving activity... I was able to count 70 chutes in the air at once, so there is a good chance I missed a few and it was an attempt to put 100 up at the same time. Pretty cool.

I have some EF-related video cooking.

I'm still not finished putting Tom's 78 together so Frankjp was nice enough to let him fly his red one at Deland this weekend...

I picked up a used HPP-21 servo programer and am trying to use it.

It states that I need a 4.8 or 6 volt RX battery to use it. Can I use a flight lipo going through and esc so as to make use of the BEC in the ESC in orfer to supply power? Or can I use my Castle BEC?

My new buddy Ed just got his Edge up and flyin'!

He's a real good flier and he's impressed with the Edge.

Here are a few pics from this evenings flying session. The balloons were out in force due to the nice calm winds.
