The DLE 35 RA seems to be a nice motor with a good bit more grunt than the 30 but all of the same air leak issues. I have two friends flying them on the new AeroWorks 79" Extra 260 Freestyles which are maybe a hair lighter than the 78 due to the shorter/smaller fuselage and no can tunnel.

I flew my 78 on a Syssa SAP-180 (30cc) on an ES pipe and the power was incredible but I had issues with that motor.

Cody, I also answered this question on the 78 thread since we're putting one together now and I took some time to look at power systems. I respect your opinion on this topic so please check it out and let me now what you think....

I actually did respond to you in that thread; I think I'll go in and elaborate a little.

Thankfully all the gear from one will work in the other, so you can fly one intil you want something different and then get the other, and then maybe an Extra. I've flown all the 60s and they are all incredible planes. The MXS is the best plane I have ever owned, and the 60" Extra is a very close second. I plan to build a 60" Edge, but I have been spending the money on those other two planes and my 48s. When I have some funding I definately plan to get a 60" Edge.

I'd like to take a sec to thank Chris Hinson from Extreme Flight for sponsoring our fly in this past weekend. He had his 60 laser and msx out huckin this weekend and I believe I saw a pantera and a 78 mxs as well. As always, just hanging a bit and chatting with ya is always nice.
He donated a 64 mxs for our raffle. It went to a 3d flyer (Randidly) Randy also bought a laser while he was there..First two extreme flight planes for him. He is in for a treat.i tried to trade him for my one of my 89 slicks but he wouldnt do it. (true story) Congrats Randy.
Chris also flew in the noon demos each day and flat out threw down. I love to watch him fly.

Maidened my MXS tonight.

WOOOOOOWEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Love this plane. My 60 Edge is gonna be getting VERY jealous

Unfortunately I knocked the lipo lose form the straps first flight (Yep, FIRST flight). Lipo stayed plugged in and in the compartment but it knocked a booboo into the canopy. Any idea the best way to repair?

Packing tape? Huh, I woulda never thunk....

Yes I can get the cracks to line up where you can almost not see it...

But really, packing tape will keep it there longer than glues of some sort?

PS I was using one strap like I do with the 60 edge. I then put in a total of three straps!

Glue will destroy it, and it wont hold due to vibration. I Niece big piece of clear packing tape(on the inside), and its good as new..
