Hmmm, what is the ETA on the large Yak? I don't have any Yak's yet and it would make a great Christmas present!

My 48" MXS is still my favorite EF plane...but my favorite EF plane is always trumped by the one I have in the air. I am putting together a video of a flight from Yesterday...the thing flies low and slow as good as an edge in the simulator, even in the wind. I don't fly with the racing wing tips due to the difficulty of attaching the 48" wingtips...but I might modify it with straws like its big sister.

Yesterday, at the field, there was an old member tresspassing at our field. Before I realized he wasn't a dues paying member, just a freeeloader (nice enough freeloader mind you), we were talking about different 3D styles...and I was explaining the differences in style between DanielPH (who he has heard of) and Joe Smith. His eyes were glazing over. HE was a glow guy. Anyway, he kept asking how long our flight times were on each plane as we flew, with a little derision when my answer was about 5 minutes for most of the 48s. Finally, returning the same friendly but mild derision I sensed from him, I told him that we could probably get 8 or 9 minutes if we just flew at 1/2 throttle or less in big circles.

I want the 91" Extra with a DA 70cc and whatever else I'd need to make it fly...but probably aint going to happen this year.
