FMS/Airfield Stuka 1400mm EPO warbird
Here's the first look at the new FMS Stuka to be released in the 2011
![]() EDIT June 2011 : Here's some added info for anyone who just go this plane. Factory recommend CG from the manual is correct at 65-70mm from leading edge. This can be achieved with the stock 2200 4S battery pushed all the way forward as far as it can go. Also CHECK AILERON HINGES ARE GLUED PROPERLY reports of some models not having them stuck on properly and crashing as a result. For paint matching courtesy of Gary/Sandancer: Here is what I have come up with for the 5 colors of the Stuka: -Schwarzgrun RLM 70___The Blue/Gray -Dunkelgrun RLM 71___The Green/Gray -Hellblau RLM 65___The Belly Light Blue -Gelb RLM 04___The Wing Tip Yellow -Schwarzgrau RLM 66___The Cockpit Black/Gray You can check them out at the Testors ModelMaster palette. Also the complete video review with build tips and what to expect from this very good model ![]() PART 1

)Some info on the G-Stuka: called "Kanonenvogel" (Gunbird/Gunship) or "Panzerknacker" (Tank Buster), it was incorporated in late 1943, tested by Oberst Rudel himself and made for ground strafing attacks on heavy armor, mainly battle tanks. The guns, which were originally anti-aircraft cannons (caliber 3,7cm -> 1.46"), were so heavy (425kg -> 960lbs each) that the plane was unable to carry any bombs. The dive breaks were also deleted as they were not needed any more for the attack profile. On a sidenote, the infamous "Jericho-Trompete" (Jericho-horn) which created the scary, howling sound on the Stuka was deleted on this version, too. Each cannon carried only 12 rounds, but those were quite devastating. Rudel alone destroyed some 500+ tanks on this aircraft... See below video of the Kanonenvogel in action, attacking Soviet landing vessels:
See below picture to evaluate the model... I'd say: well done! Cheers, Bernhard |

Why do you say that? I'm wondering the same thing. My nephew has a wattage Stuka that can be a bear and my Hyperion Stuka is like a trainer but in my uneducated eye, the fuse looks too long on the Hyperion. I wonder if it is longer than scale to make for tamer flight characteristics or I'm totally off base and it is a scale length. Either way, the hyperion Stuka is a very stable flyer. Which will this one be like?
