Osiris V2 Build and Fly - Pics & Vids (More NEW Videos up)

Just got my V2 today and am starting work on building. Kit looks lighter than the V1. They milled out a lot more area. The fuse is 1 inch shorter. The hinge line of the elevator and the rudder are now the same distance from the nose. The elevator is larger than the V1.
I got a lot finished today, I was only able to work on it for about 2 hours. More to come tomorrow!

New 12-24-11 Osiris V2 in Gym
Osiris F3P-A in Lake Havasu, AZ (2 min 17 sec)

New 12-20-11 Osiris V2 in Desert
Osiris V2 F3P-AP In the Desert (3 min 53 sec)

New 2-12-11 After a couple months of flying(over 100 flights) it is the 'bomb'!!!
F3P AP 2 12 11 3.wmv (1 min 26 sec)

New (12-24-10) Flying Videos up!

I think it stalls better:
V24 (1 min 5 sec)

Also snaps better:
Osnaps.wmv (0 min 21 sec)

It was cold, wet and the wind was up! Better videos coming as soon as the weather clears up!!

r/cmark, thanks for posting build pics, it's looking good.
Question: why the e-z connector on one side and heat-shrink on the other?

I feel that with one servo running both ailerons you can never get it right without some sort of adjustor also you get big trim changes with tempature changes. You trim the fixed side with trim or sub trim and then the adjustor gets the other side right.

Finished up the pushrod guides and mounted the Hacker A10 15S and the Rhino 360 pack. I didn't try to make this a really light build but it came out OK 4.67 oz. We will see how it flys! Maybe a video tomorrow!!

Videos added in post 1. It was cold, misting and a little wind. Seems to fly little 'tighter' than the V1. I really need a nice sunny calm day to really tell how it flys.

More Videos to come!

Mark,

Glad to see you got your Osiris V2 going. I had a lot of fun designing the V2. I basically wanted at change a few things from the V1 and these were the only things that I could think of. The new plane should come out a bit lighter than the original and should fly the same except, should fly with the tail higher, and stall turn much better.

Andrew
