no - i tossed in a park 480 and the thrust angle is so rediculous that it looks bad - wont line up with the cowl
it crapped out on me because i bent the shaft on a prop strike and i just kept flying it - not a manuf problem

Yesterday was the maiden flight for my new P51D.
I´m from Lima-Perú and my comment for this plane is....

WOWOWOWOWWWWW

Perfectly balance
Really fast

I use it with a Zippy Lipo 3S 2200 30C

I'm planning to change the prop for a 9X6E according to some PropCalculator it could be faster.

Good job TowerHobbies

For APC, is the appropriate prop type always the slow flyer, or will a thin electric work better or worse?

The motor in my P-51 failed on the fourth flight. I'll go ahead and replace it along with the ESC. What are people putting in this plane other than the stock motor which is obviously garbage?

I have a newb question. I just got my plane today and after putting it together I noticed that when looking from the front of the plane the motor shaft is tilted to the left several degrees from the center-line of the fuselage. Is this to offset motor torque or is it an issue I need to correct before flying it?

From prop tip to the same place on each wing leading edge measures as follows (looking from front of plane)

Prop tip to left wing 7.75"
Prop tip to right wing 8.00"

as seen from the cockpit looking towards the propeler using this orientation as seen from above the airplane - it is right thrust built-in to compensate for left turning tendencies of the airplane.

I havent assembled mine yet, I do have one sitting for about 3 months now.
As with lots of other models out there.... a lot of them have the right thrust to compensate for the left turning tendencies, some more than others.

hope this helps

Thanks lw777pilot.
From the cockpit it would produce a right thrust tendency the way it is offset.
That tells me that it is normal and all is well. It sure looks strange though.
