Good idea...and application.

I don't mind the wobble...most of us don't even notice after a few flights. I imagine the fins do stabilize the plane, but creates more drag in doing so. In fact, the whole concept of the angled cuts is that it creates wingtip drag that stabilizes the plane (more so than without the angles). This probably results in a slower plane overall. So, I think it depends on whether you are more interested in speed or stability. Definitely worth a try...and i think the clear thin plastic is better than the corroplast tips.

I did a maiden on my Assassin that was put together with liquid nails (silicone) since here in So. Texas the summer gets hot enough to cause problems.

It flys great and is not squirrelly

Scobee airfield combat

We had a couple of sorties today. 8 combatants in the first sortie and four hits. Then we had 9 combatants in the second sortie and NO hits, so everybody landed their assassins intact.

From left to right: Rob, Sam, Mark, David and Corey. Jim's right behind Mark in the second photo. It was a good day for the combat club.

Well my combat time has really been cut down as my old job has called me back in. Nothing like that kind of Good News/Bad News.

The wind forecast looks "more worser" today than it does for Sat and Sun according to my read on weatherbug. It is not ideal, but it shouldn't affect most of the Assassin flyers. I'll send out a yahoo groups poll on what day to do combat.

We had another impromptu session of combat at Scobee so remember when ever you go to the field that you bring the Assassin just in case.

Just bringing it out can generate interest and ya never know where that can lead
