These are the USD prices the kit could be sold for:
They are based on the servo-city gears prices and my time spent by the machine. I do not plan to sell the servos, only the wooden cut parts including all the gears and carbon fibre tube for the turner.
I will modify the tilt for the HS55 servo to make it lighter.
I will arrange for the sell only if there are at least 5 people interested.

Material, carbon fiber tube and gears -45
Cutting -65
Postage according to the destination. Should be no more than - 15

Servos would be about 58:
HS225 (180 turner) - 28
HS55 (tilt) - 10
GVS S125T (pan) - 20

The payment goes through Pay-pal. Those who are interested PM me.

I am interested for the pan e tilt kit, your isn't made of plastic? I don't plan to install on a easystar so don't need the fuselage part.

GWS sailing winch servo I use on the mentor does 360 but doesn't center fine.

Really nice work!

I got 5 people already. The kit consist of the tilt, pan, and 180 turner. Pan and tilt could be used for any plane with undercarriage. The turner is only for the easy star plane. Some of you requested only the pan and tilt unit. Please specify.
Be aware that the tilt servo must be modified for 360 rot. and the pot must be placed on the tilt axis. All will be ready in the kit, but the modification must be done by you.
If you do not need the turner, it will be 20 USD off.
The mount is to be used for the below the fuselage placement. It is able to look directly below. If you want to place it above, in to the cockpit there are better and cheaper mounts, If you still want mine, I will modify the tilt for you, so it suits better.
All is made of plywood, aluminium tube for the tilt pivot, carbon fibre tube for the turner.
CA glue will do the job.

Those interested, send me a PM. Specify if you are interested in the whole kit adapted for the Easy Star plane including the turner. The Payment will be done via the Pay-Pal. Do I have to redesign the tilt for HS 55? That servo is small but not very resistant to RF intrusion.

Hi.
I have sent out some mounts for those who requested.
I made several more kits and packed them for others. These are after the modification. Now the pot is smaller and the tilt is widened to make it suitable for the upper and lower placement. Now it could be mounted to any plane below or on top of the aircraft.
During the improvements I made two units (without the rotator) to test my new ideas. They are to go out of the house. All working - ready to fly.
Servos GVS 360 rotation and turnigy TGY-90S metal gear, modified to work with the outside pot.
Price 150 USD for each.
Sending some more pictures.

Has there been any progress on this mount? I'd love to get my hands on one.
Cheers,
Nick

Even if there is a mix function active, the camera could move in the bay as a result of some kind of RF interference. FPV planes carry a lot of RF power on board.
Regarding my old design - The Carbon EYE - was made for a Surveillance UAV plane. Its production was difficould and expensive. I have sold some of them, but not many. Having a retractable camera is nice but people must not forget to retract. You would not believe how many of them returned the unit broken just because it was exposed when landing.

I started a thread about it some time ago:

Regarding the go pro mount - it should be as easy to build as possible. The only difficould task is to make the gears and mount them properly not to allow for any backlash. I used gears from an old printer. I also draw them and made them on a milling machine. Well not everyone can have a milling machine in the workshop though.
I thing the servo manufactures should start thinking about a 360 servo - like they did in China. That is where the GVS 360 comes from.

Pista, what milling cutters are you using? 2mm? they look alot stronger than my 1mm end mills that keep breaking!!

The kit is already in the sale. I do not have a web shop and I do not distribute it to any FPV seller. The only way to get it is to contact me here or via my web.
I use 0,6 and 1 mm cutters.
If they break in your machine there could be somethink wrong with it.
Regarding the servo modification it could be done for you already in the kit.
