It refers to the lens' focal ength. Longer focal length=narrower FOV, more magnification. Imagine a telephoto lens. The human eye has an FOV about 160x175 degrees.

AHA you remembered! Im just waiting on my RVOSD Gen5 to land here. Its somewhwere between Florida and South Australia atm. I imagine I should have something to show within the month, weather permitting. Its absolutely miserable here. Winter blues. Cold wet and raining with gale force winds. Spring Summer Autumn here are excellent but Winter just SUX.
Cheers
Frank

The smaller the number the wider the field of view. Like 3.6mm lens is a wider field of view than a 6mm lens

Thanks!. I hope it survives ok. I have much better luck with the rough looking ones though.
I have totally demolished 2 sleek scale looking glass 2.5m FPV sailplanes in recent years, both almost new. The rough looking planes just keep on going though. Third time lucky I hope.

Patience young Jedi....
Just waiting on more flight hardware.
Its 4.15M span. If I put the wingtip on the ground I have to reach over my head to hold up the fuzz. Largest model I have owned so far. They say bigger planes are easier to fly. Hopefully this one will be hard to lose.
I will definitely be recording every second of it when she maidens.
Watch this space....
