I like that....I may get one....

The camera is very nice and has a nice case as well. The cool thing is it can also be used for night flying. But I am no where close to trying it yet.

My Skywalker draws about 9 amps at cruise I am trying to get it down in the 5-6 amp range. I think using a bigger wing will help.

Actually, yes, using bigger wings would give less eating batteries, but, it depends of lot of other conditns - total weight of your plane, wind, thermals and others ....

I put 2 (350g each) batteries (700g total) + Gopro HD and enjoyed the flight.

For FPV I use differ. platform - extended EZ* fuse and extended to 244 cm
Radian wing (old, not PRO). It flies perfectly stable, slow, too and very long. With a 350g battery is about 1 hour.

This is a home brew wing I designed and built for someone else.
It was crashed a few times so he gave it back and I had to cut it down
from 6ft to 52 inches. It use to be 2kg but know with all my gear in it it's
2.3kg , a tad heavy but it cruises good. Yet to make a vid with it.

VERY will done. Should cushion some vibrations more than wood - VERY nice.

Just wanted to show the latest mod on the Slow Stick. (can I still call it a Slow Stick?)

It's a wing from an Icon R/C "Hawk" which is a near clone of the Easy Glider. I cut 5" out of the root section where it fit the fuselage, then epoxied the two halves together with a section of carbon rod inside the carbon tube spars where they meet. I also changed the aileron linkages. They had pushrods that ran out to the ailerons with the servos mounted at the root, but there was too much binding in them for me. So I moved the servos out to the ailerons with short direct linkages to them. MUCH better now. I made a wing saddle that fits in place of the stick wing and holds this one, so they'll interchange. Hopefully I got the angle of attack right, but if not I can modify this saddle or make another one to adjust it.

Hopefully it'll fly a little slower and smoother than the stock wing, and maybe a little more efficient too...





Not sure when I'll get to test fly it, with the weather then the holidays, but when I do I'll be sure and post some video! I've got a spare gyro that I may put on the ailerons too, but not until I fly it and get it dialed in first.
