How is that Stock Motor on that SSS?
(I've read to add a 8x4 or 8x6 APCe prop as the only mods, and it scoots')

the motor is ok, i put a 9 x 7 3-blade APC prop on it and it draws about 450 watts max on 3S, works well for me, though i will likely upgrade it eventually

Here is my heavily modified Solo 1500 that I'm using for FPV.

Just flew her FPV today in 25+ mph winds and had a blast!

Mods include rear servo placement, extremely custom motor mount with a 370 size motor and APC 8x6 pusher prop, and an extended fuselage....

plus a lot of tape haha...

First flight!

Well, I did my first fpv flight today and everything still works! Haha I can definitely say it was exhilarating and extremely scary(definitely more on the scary side)! I flew for a total of about 15 minutes, and to about 400' ft up I think. It was quit windy, more then I thought it was going to be definitely. My setup is a Penguin, m2815, 60a esc, stock three blade prop, RMRC 1.3 video system, 700tvl camera, dragonlink, fatshark dominators, cloverleaf antennas on vtx and vrx. 3s 4400mah flight battery. Here are some things I noticed, and some questions I have:

1)as the pictures show, I placed my camera on the lower part of the canopy, and angled down slightly. This made my view seem like I was much higher then I was. Anyone agree?

2) I'm lucky I landed when I did! I thought my battery was dying, but it was actually my prop spinning itself off! I was within seconds of loosing my prop! Any tips on keeping the prop on? I have a 9x6 apc I may put on there as well. Suggestions?

3) transport! The penguin is massive! It's a feat to get it in my car. Anyone have any transportation ideas for a penguin, thanks!

All I have to say is two words "BLUE LOCKTITE"
And all it takes is just tiny bit, one small drop. I get a small drop on the end of a toothpick and then aply it to the bolt, tighten the nut and your good to go. I do this on all my planes, electric, glow, even the big 50cc gasser.

I agree with that Hammer. Doesn't hurt to use a locking nut if you can get one in that size.
