Shame really, without that appendage you would be able to tilt the camera forward and look down for a nice clear view, not much point looking up in FPV
actually it's my first FPV plane, and i remove the camera to put it right at the nose, cause the view was very bad!!! And the main battery is seated right over the CG so whatever size of battery i use, the CG is always good

On wing i usually make a cutout to place the motor closer to the CG, much easier to balance

here a recent picture of the plane after some modification!

Again, distance does not matter. LOS only defines if there is an unobstructed
view to the plane from a pilots position.

Nah, they're just using the term incorrectly. They should be saying VLOS.

OK, so it seems that the abbreviation LOS is being misused alot, where it should actually be VLOS.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Haha, love the cardboard delta! Out of all the planes I've flown, I think the simple delta wing is the most surprising to build and fly. Simple to build out of just about anything, very CoG tolerant, and flies stable. And when you crash a plane worth nothing but your time there's not a whole lot to be bummed about. Just build another for a couple bucks and crash it again!

Hey guys, this is my $5 DIY Skywalker Alternative.

Half EPP BEAGLE, Half Skywalker, great airframe.

66" span, 12" chord, RAF19 foil, laminated pink foam, 1/2" hardwood stick for a boom. Suppo 2212, 10x5 prop, 2200 3S. 5lb, so about 28 watts per pound at full throttle but it cruises at slightly less than half. Maybe 25mph in a nosedive...lol

Thanks for teaching me everything!

Anybody else going under soccer goalposts or slaloming light posts in pitch blackness?

The build log:
AoTou Faire un avion en Carton... (6 min 51 sec)

For information, after the crash, the wing have nothing, i only have to re-glue servo, and that fly again
