The plane looks great and seems to fly really well! Now you just need to put a video transmitter in there. You understand the irony of putting up your first GoPro video in standard definition, right?

Yes,and its not really flying FPV without some goggles either.

So I haven't posted in this thread in a long while. Time to post pics of my latest update to my FPV Hawk Sky. I just added a GoPro to it amidships. I've done a few flights with the GoPro using its stock mount, and it flew great but I was annoyed that my flight cam blocked part of its view. So I got a different mount for the GoPro and raised it up a bit on a small boom so it can see over the flight cam for an unobstructed view. Haven't flown it in this configuration yet so I'm hoping the increased height of the GoPro doesn't add too much drag or make the plane too top heavy. Can RC planes capsize if you put too much stuff on top?

Honestly? I don't think I would feel very secure trying to fly with the camera like that. I'd be worried that if I bank to steep I might not recover.

What about swapping the placement of the GoPro and the flightcam. GoPro up front with the flightcam peaking over it's head?

Well if they were mounted flush to the fuselage I'm pretty sure the GoPro would block most of the flight cam's view. I could put the GoPro down on the slightly raised curved mount without the boom and it would still be a little bit higher than the stock mount, but I checked and the flight cam still takes up part of the view, just not as much.

I don't know. I think I'll go ahead and try a flight with it like this at least and see how it behaves. From what you said, it sounds like the biggest danger would be tip stalling? I have extended ailerons and rudder on the plane which should help recover from that if I need to. But I'll be wary of that for sure.

Just use lots of rudder in turns and keep turns at low banked angles, I would go up 20 mistakes high and see if she tip stalls

Even if you just swapped the cams GoPro on bottom and flight cam on the boom mount. much less weight to swing around. but either way i would put the GoPro on the bottom regardless and just move the flight cam.
