I have the T-33. Came from Banana Hobby. I'm assuming it's made by the same people? I have to admit i'm impressed with it. Considering it was under $100 PNP I think they're a decent value.

I'd like to pick up something else from them, like maybe an A4 or an F-18. Any recommendations?

I'm planning to get a Sky Angel 50mm EDF. I have a Dynam Cessna which I can land at 11 knot winds. Am I ready to take on the F22?

I still say the F-16 is the best overall flyer on stock power. It was the first one I got, has seen the most abuse, but has also seen the most flights by far. I take it to the field with me every time and get at least 2 or 3 flights on it.

Thanks Pat. I'll put that on my list of "Things I'll buy once I get out of the dog house for the last thing I bought."

Rick, is there ever a time when we are truly out, or is it a matter of how far the dog house is from the real house?? Ie never out of "IT" just a matter of how deep!
Dave.

The hardest part to these jets is the hand launching. Next is the faster reaction as these jets move faster than a typical prop plane. Belly landing is the simple part.

I hand launched prop planes for a couple of years but my first EDF toss was a complete disaster. I had to relearn the proper push instead of throw techinque.

If you're wanting to get one, I'd say T-45 and F-18 are easiest to toss of the 6 I have.

Hi all,

Got my L-39 ready for maiden. Just not sure about the CG. Have read the CG thread which mentions 42-45mm from leading edge.

For those who have flown the L-39, where does the Leading Edge actually starts? ( I am asking cos there's a slight curve just before the LE joins the fuselage ,and we are talking of CG settings in mm)

Mine's powered by a 5400kv inrunner in a Wemo Micro Fan on 3S 1300mah 25C w/25A ESC. Using Spektrum's 6ch. Micro RX.

Thanks.

Can someone give me their input values for the low rates for both the F-18 and F-22 on a JR radio? I would love to get either an F-18 or F-22 as a starter EDF jet

The CG for the T-45 says 50mm in my manual but I know on from other RC Groups forum they talk about 38-45mm. Is the manual wrong what are most people using?
To balance mine at the 50mm point I have had to add some weight on its tail, that is with a 950mah battery and some 2mm plywood glued to the bottom of the battery bay.

L-39 COG is 3-5mm in front of the hole where the servos go into the fuselage, see this photo. The servo hole is at the end of the yellow nose stripe.

Hi all,

I crashed my F-18 badly yesterday when i lauched it. Broked the fuse in 3 and one wing fell off.

How do you handlaunch your jet, do you apply full throttle or only 3/4 or 1/2 and when airborn then apply full? I do apply full but having hard time controling it.

Thx.
