Mine is right at about the panel line area of the leading edge and it flys fine with several diff packs.. I do have to place the packs partialy into the fuse just past where the intakes line up. It does seem far forward, but it works.

by any chance, does somebody have a picture of the f-16 with the stock battery installed? i cannot find a position to fit the CG without cutting foam, adding bracing. i hope to get her in the air by this weekend!

I dont have a pic (and cant take one as I have now converted to 4s), but my stock battery was up front. I had to add 5g of lead to the tail to get CG.

Whats this hot water soak ppl talk about? Does it remove wrinkles and how do I do it? Just soak in hot water? Of course not the electronics

These types of foam will get soft and the cell can puff back up after a squashing session (crash). Hot water will get the foam to do so. However, too hot as in boiling will over do this and you get the alligator skin looks which would be hideous on a scale plane. About 190-200* is more than you will need.

I make hot water in my coffee maker so its hot but not boiling. I haven't measure the exact temperature of my coffee maker but pouring the water on while flexing the foam to the shape you need. Keep holding the foam to the new shape while the temperature cools down (about 1 minute) will have the foam hold the new shape.

I've done this fix on wings and stabilizers that were warped in shipping box as well as after hideous crashes.

A-4 Skyhawk CG

Hi guys,

Need help with the correct CG of my skyhawk. Mine seems to be too nose heavy. Anybody flew the bird? recommended CG is 100mm from the LE.

Mine balances perfectly at eh panel line that runs across the top of the fuse and down across the shield decal on the side of the intake.

Wicked 5400/4S/Wemo F-16 maiden went fine....

4s5400- SkyAngel 50mm EDF F16.wmv (2 min 57 sec)


Not a huge difference to the 3S/Wicked 6000 it was flying with, but a lot of fun.....

will put this setup in the F-16 I am presently glassing and spraying.....

1080p for best viewing....

tnx for the quick reply. if its not too much to ask, can you post pix of how you positioned electronics in your A4. I find it weird on mine since im not getting the correct balance.

I cut out the foam. added a 1500ma 3 25c cell and she screamed. Much better flight times than the 3min from the stock 800mah

@all 4s flyers on stock setup: how are your motors/ESCs holding up?! Are they still alive?

On my Jpower L-39 the stock motor burnt on 4s while running on the testbench. I upgraded to a Turnigy 2615-4800 from HK and a Wemotec Microfan. The stock fan was way out of balance.

Haven't flown it yet. Has anyone flown this kind of setup on 3s/4s?

How long did you have it running on the bench before it burnt? 3 of my 4 planes run 4S at times and are fine so far. How did you mount the Wemo to that Turnigy's shaft?

I have a 5400 Wicked motor on 4S and a Wemo fan in my F16. Works fine @ 515W - see video above

haven't burned one up yet, then again I don't fly wide open throttle all the time.

Stock ESC's are good! 3s and 4s! Just make sure that there is a lot of cold air blowing over it.
