Me too! its a really good looking plane on the ground and in the air. I have another one that I am building but unfortunately its not going to be a speed deamon. I am going to try something slightly crazy with that one, can a JPower jet be built to 200g auw.

You win
I am building a 55cm P51D with a 17g motor putting out over 200g static thrust with a GWS 5030 from a 325mah 2s battery. Weight of motor+esc+battery = 51g (and thats only because I used a heavy esc). So if F-16 airframe is 120g + 51g+24g(servos+rx)= 195g auw
EDFs just eat too much power.

SA Screamer

Other than Hobby B, anybody know of a place on line where I can order the
Screamer? Nitroplanes has it under a different name, but as usual with soo many of their products, it's not in stock.

Yeah I saw that too from nitro planes. I had been buying lots of batteries from Hobbypartz and them. But now they are over run and never have anything in stock. So far HobbyB is the only one that I have seen with them...

my motor (2800kv if i remember right) is 18gr also but im using a 3s 460mah lipo i think 40gr and 12amp esc i think thats 8gr maybe alittle more but i used 7.5gr servos the GWS wasnt puting out what i wanted so i went with a APC 5*5 i think its much more then 200 gr i think its closser to 350gr

The motor and prop in the pic isnt the one im using now.

I un-retired my sons A 4 today. Flew it on a 1000ma 4s 40c on the stock motor fan. He didn't like the way it flew. I had to add about 3/4 oz ( that's 21 gr to you Nigel) of lead to the tail to get the C G just a few mm back onto the wing. No wonder he didn't like the way it flew . It must of dropped it's nose in a turn and dove for the ground in a glide.
I must of got the C G pretty close cuz it slowed down nice and predictable on the landing approach and gently touched down with out a lotta back pressure.
It's also another one that climbs under full power. The tail has more thrust tube on top .
I'll be flying it more . lol

Anyone got the 10 bladed EDF units from RC-castle?

I'm curious if we can get the "Whoosh" sound from these units.

Almost. Was supposed to arrived the 4th but due to zip code mistake (my fault - two digits swapped) it's in USPS limbo in a nearby town. Total bureaucracy.

I have the cs12 90mm fans and know how the whoosh should sound.

News flash

For those of you who were waiting for the SA Katana to come to the US, Toysonics appears tohave them, thought the info listed is for the A-4.
Guess they were using that file for a framework but forgot to save the changes.
