I have been swapping power systems, this gave me the opportunity to test the exact same power system in two different airframes for comparison. This test was between the F35 and the F22. Both tests carried out within 30 minutes of each other.
I used the Lander 4600kv 20mm inrunner in 6-blade JPower copy housing with Lander rotor, Nanotech 850mah 3s 45C, Phoenix 25.

As a member pointed out to me a while ago, I can now demonstrate with some figures how the F22 airframe reduces thrust, presumably because of bad ducting after the fan. This appears to cost 10% static thrust (compared to F35). I will attempt to put a thrust tube in the F22 to see if I can get closer to the F35 thrust.

Results are as follows if you dont want to watch the video:

Airframe____Peak thrust_____After 10sec____Amps(after 10s)_____Watts(after10s)
F22________282g__________264g___________13.45_____ _______150
F35________317g__________294g___________14.18_____ _______155

F22 Lander 4600kv Lander Rotor Nanotech 850mah 3s 45C 12 Jan 2013 (0 min 40 sec)

F35 Lander 4600kv LanderRotor Nanotech 850mah 3s 45C (0 min 35 sec)

Two more tests. As promised I put the Turnigy 2610 5000kv into the F35 airframe, good result but too many amps for my liking.
Also I got a replacement Neutron 4900kv at a discount price, so I tested that too, seems lower kv than the last one I had. Nice low amps though.

Airframe___Motor+Fan__________Peak T___After 10sec___Amps(after 10s)____Watts(after10s)
F35_______Turnigy+Lander-cut___366g_____332g________21.52____________221
F35_______Neutron+Lander-cut___313g_____290g________12.87___________143

I bought another F86 with a bigger motor and 8 blade fan, weather not so good at the mo so no flying yet. Want to fly it as it is before I start a few of my own mods to it

over here its -2 and snowing. plus I have to do cosmetic repairs to both my planes.
In other news I contacted RC Lander directly and they were happy to sell me their 3mm adaptors for their 50mm 5-blade alloy fan for $2 each. Their adapters are lighter and deeper than the standard 3mm M5 prop adapters.

The new 10 blade 50mm fans are up at RC Castle, $36. I'm sure HK will have'em soon for $29? Looks good, but I remember the first batch of 4S Lander fans that were duds a while back??

Are the HK 4s 50mm metal fans - Lander made? They are awesome and I was thinking of buying a bunch. They reinvigorated my love for these baby jets.
