get some clear RTV silicone sealant and apply it down the wing/fuse joint. hold tight, but allows you to slice through it with and exacto when access is needed.

Done have any silicon sealant. I'll probably do a few glue spot with hot glue so I can still pull off or slice off if needed. If it still wobbles, then I'll have to glue better. UPS tells me the T-45 and T-33 should be in hand by next Monday. Too bad I didn't order earlier so I could have enjoyed them for the long MLK weekend off.

The wing was loose on my T-33 also and there was a gap where it meets with the fuselage. I used Aleene's tacky glue to seal the gap. This glue is sold at walmart in the craft section. Aleenes' glue is also good for gluing on canopys. Give it a try. PS This glue is also removable, it is water resistant but is water soluable. So if I want the wing off I brush water over the glue joint, wait patiently and the glue will come loose!

Ok, Just got my Sky Angels T-33. I am looking at checking the balance on the fan. Ran into a problem. How do you remove the fan from the motor shaft? It has one hex nut that is embedded in the inpeller cone? Also, do you have to rip the whole fan unit out to check it or is there a easiy way to remove it from the airframe?

Just hold the bell of the outrunner and spin the rotor counter clockwise. It will spin off.

The pics should be pretty easy.

The video, however, is something I haven't tried to post before. I took it with an old camera and it's dark and grainy, but it DOES show them working.
It looked like the video clip "attached". If not, I'll try again.

GWS micro retracts, nosegear is a converted main gear and is NOT steerable. They are mechanically driven by E-flite S75 sub micro servos. I slowed the speed down with the transmitter.

Final weight is 13.5 oz, and that includes 1/2 oz of noseweight to get the CG within the recommended range. I was unable to put the battery far enough forward because of the nosegear retract servo.
we want more pics and videos!!!!!!!!!!!!

Images from the 2011 AMA Convention of the new 50mm jets and future J-Power mini warbirds. Lots more images from the AMA Convention on my blog.

Sorry for the late post. Too much evening flying, not enough internet time lately.

Pete-Thanks for letting us handle the new products.

All the best,
Tony

Tony,
How many inches would you say the wingspan on the 30mm MiG-15 is? Considering the 50mm had 25" ws, I'd expect this one on the order of 15" +/- a couple.

I'm happy to see the F9F in gray as opposed to dark blue for better visibility. I wanted to wait for its release to order the T-33 at the same time to save shipping ($15 for 1 plane and ~ $18 for 2...much better value). With the vids and flt reports on the T-33 coming in...couldn't wait so substituted the T-45 instead. I'll combine the F9F with the 30mm MiG-15... or even A-10.

I am super excited about the Rare Bear and T-28 in this size! I am loving the 50mm jets because of their size! I can fit all 6 of my 50mm edfs in my trunk! And there is still room for more!

I will call this T-33 "take II". I ordered the replacement kit from HK, after waiting 3 months a box showed up with a wing and the fuselage (NOTHING ELSE)

Sooooo, I took some depron and made a tail and stab, cut me out some elevators. I threw in a 30A ESC and my other HIMAX 50mm EDF motor and fan from the junk box. A little gray primer to make it one uniform shade yet light, some spare decals and a canopy from a wrecked one and waa-laa. A no tip tank having, light as can be, overpowered T-Bird. And all for less than $30...

I smell disaster!

Now that is what I call being resourceful!! Good job!! And the T-33 is a missile without the tip tanks! If you use 4s with that motor/fan combo look out! It is super efficient and makes lots of power! I am getting 420 watts from mine! But it flies so nice at less than 1/2 throttle and I get more than 6 mins flight time. So much fun!!

I am looking forward to seeing how much faster it is. With the HIMAX setup and a 4S 1000MaH 35C pack my other T-33 was topping out at 91mph and it has the tanks and a boat load of paint on it. This one has the exact same setup, just lighter. Tomorrow will tell...
