Another questions guys. Where have you mounted your receiver, in the fuse or on the wings? I am a little worried about servo wires getting caught. Thanks.

Is there anyway to make the windshield detachable so I can insert a camera?

Rookie - I mounted the Rx in the fuse just on the opposite side of the battery. For you windshield, you could use velcro tape. It is thinner than regular Velcro and would be easy to glue a thin strip around the edge of the windshield to make it removable.

G'day gang,
It has been a while since I have had chance to fly the Cirrus but it did happen today.
Right where I live, we have been hammered by the weather and today was the first day in nearly two months when it did not rain during daylight hours.
We have had three major floods in two months and our Sunday field is still knee deep in water and may not be ready for flight before Easter.
However, today was fine if windy and I put the Cirrus up for what was a good fifteen minute flight at our Wednesday field (our local gliding club).
As normal the wind bounced her around a little bit but I was able to stay ahead of the model and have a good time.
@ rcflyinff, sorry that I have not got around to posting a pic of the nose wheel strut idea but I have been caught out by the flooding here and where I work has been flooded three times in as many weeks.....it makes for a lot of clean up work. I normally work a split shift (that's why I can fly on a Wednesday) but it was all hands on deck.
I will get around to it.....when I make one myself lol.
Regards and respect

No worries wrongroad. Sorry to hear of mother nature putting a beating on ya. But, glad to hear you were able to get out and enjoy the SR. Winds have been crazy here in Florida for as long as I can remember. It used to calm down at night, but not lately. Anyway take care and I hope you get back to some type of normal life soon.

Anyone know what scale the SR trainer would be? I would like to add a pilot figure but I'm not sure what size figure to put in the cockpit. Thanks

I took the sport pilots out of my Dynam T-28 and put them both in this plane (see below). The scale of these pilots is 1/10 and can be purchased from HK...

No problem Here are are couple more pics. I also covered the dash area with a piece of poster board so that the battery wouldn't be visible, as well.

There are handy calculators online you can use for this. Also, there are ones for your smarty pants phones, too. I use the RCEcalc app for my Android phone and it is OK. For your numbers, it spit out 11 minutes and 18 seconds.

Sounds right. I usually set my timer for 10 minutes with this plane and it works out pretty good.
