Haha, please do. At any rate, the Sultimate was a one-of, I bought a set of plans of Donatas, and it's not my design to re-distribute/produce for people.

As far as the other stuff goes, I don't typically cut stuff for folks, unless I've already cut a bunch in the process of getting a design figured out. It's a big pain for me to keep foam on hand and mail stuff. Not really in it to be a kitter, I just want to provide people with plans to work from.

Cpdude has cut some for people in the past, he can probably hook you up.

This version will be harder to cut by hand since there are more interlocking parts. Let me know if you want one cut. However, you're welcome to have anyone cut it or cut it by hand.

Enjoy!

Brian, I would like actually two of these cut.. I have a pair of Stryker F27Q 180's that are probably not going to fly again.. well, one will, but by the time I build the first one, probably not

Planning to donate the gear from the Strykers to build two of these Yak's, I'm too new to send PM's, so please send me one?

Man. I can't wait to build one of these. Looks like exactly what I was looking for.

You probably have your profile set up so that you don't save outgoing PM's in your Sent box. Just be patient.

So, enough of the PM sillyness (very new here ;P), but I actually have a 120 version from CPDude *almost* RTF.

Using the guts of a Stryker F27Q 180, removed the Y on the rudder, using all 4 servos, 1 to each aileron, and 1 rudder, 1 elevator. Even using the program I have for the Stryker, minus the elevon mixing. Reversed the motor, soldering blue to the red wire, and vice-versa, prop now rotates clockwise from behind the plane.

Tested all the servo channels, everything moves when I expect it to, just waiting for servo tape and have to track down some tiny carbon rod, although I may have enough random parts to make it work.

Striker elevator servos / control horns are in place, waiting for servo tape, (I might run to the hw store later), and just finishing up the elevator, horn. I took the motor mount for the Stryker, cut the wings off it, and attached it to the Yak with CA after cleaning out the EPP and shoving it down over the horizontal depron at the front, appears straight to the naked eye

Final piece I'm trying to track down is a proper tractor prop for the 180 BL 3000kv from the Stryker. I want to say the prop shaft diameter is 3-4mm, not precisely sure, but assuming I can ream it if I have to (or have it done at the local hobby shop), I've been looking around, and the best thing I can find is ebay GWS or GWS clone 5030's.. I found an APC 5x3, and the one off the UMX Gee Bee is a potential candidate at 5.25x3.5 ... I'm really looking for someone I can order and get it relatively quickly, or pick it up local in Los Angeles..

In fact, it want to yank itself out of my hand with the UMX beast prop.

Unfortunately, I face three issues at the moment.

1) I have with the control rods bending too much, need to keep working on the guides.

2) 2 out of 4 of the servo's I hot glued down decided they wanted to stick. Pulling apart all 4 to clean and test before I hot glue them back down.

3) Going to do a little reinforcement of the ailerons, they flex too much at the moment and recut/tape the hinges.

Flying weight should stay under 72g or so, will weigh in when it's flying.

First test flight found the sticking servo, so after recovering it from one of the local palm trees, it was remarkably intact.

You have to make the settings for page size and tiling. In Adobe Reader X in the Page Size and Handing section, select Poster. Then you can set the scale and so on.

If you are using a different Adobe Reader version or another program, just look for a way to tell it to tile the pages or set the scale. Otherwise you'll get defaults, which sounds like what's happening to you now.

Just ordered three laser cut kits from Brian...looking forward to the build. I need to review this thread again to check for any upgrades. I believe many of you have referred to a more powerful motor to be obtained from a fellow foamie addict, but I couldn't figure out how to contact him. Any help here would be appreciated.

Also, any additional hints and modifications are always welcome. With temps here in the high 90's and record temps all summer, it's hard to start planning for winter and indoor flying, but I'm sure it will be here sooner than I can be fully ready.

Bryan,
Thanks for the lead to RCBabbel...I contacted him and he has shipped me a new motor which should arrive about the same time the kits do.
