Hi guys, wanted to start a thread here in our forums that can be used to discuss anything. Feel free to talk about anything that tickles your fancy in here, as the goal is to have our own ongoing thread for general discussion. It will be linked off our website as well. So let the discussion begin!

I like cake. Airplane-shaped cake, that is.

My how we change.... I have become a rotor-head and you've turned into a jet jock. What is the world coming to?

Glad it worked out. A little later this morning I'm going to the new Hobby Town that recently opened in Apex. I'm looking for another indoor plane of some kind.

I didn't make it to Hobby Town today. I 've never been to Apex before, it looked pretty simple according to MapQuest. Didn't take a map or a GPS (I ususally pride myself on being prepared) Missed a turn (my fault), couldn't find a road (MapQuest error), got some bum directions from a couple of folks. Time was running out, the dogs were home alone and we don't like to leave them for more than 3 hours due to possible accidents. It was a comedy of errors. Maybe I'll make it next time.

Sorry the Hobby Town trip didn't work out. I'm actually tossing around the idea of another indoor flier as well, but since they would only get flown once or twice in a year, I think I'll pass. Still have to repair the UM Mustang before the indoor fly-in soon. Although if someone had the Great Planes VFO for sale, I might be interested.

Hey Dave ' Next time you go on a trip you should take my wife with you she is really good at telling me where I have turned wrong ...she also says that I should stop and ask someone for directions I try hard to listen to her because she knows every thing ! Heck she also knows how to control the radio and the temperature of the vehicle.

No need to wait for an indoor event. I fly my micro Champ and my PBF in the front yard on calm evenings.
