Yes. Keeps the CG low and gets the yaw off the ground. I've always mounted them there without any issues.

I would probably lose a lipo if I mounted it on the bottom. On second thought, mine usually lands on it's top when I screw up and loose orientation. LOL

Very cool design Tim. Look forward to seeing the flight videos in the future. Plenty of room for a video camera under there.

Very cool and different. To me, (not that I know what I'm talking about) it looks like it would be more stable if you flipped it upside-down and mounted the camera in the "U". Can't wait to see the results.

Time will tell...
This will have the Pulso 2814/22's mounted on it and is made just for the GoPro and the Canon A640. I've built in 2 degrees of angle on the front motor mounts as well. Gary, what's your new Avatar?  -Tim Quote:
