A new style T-Frame

Started building this today. It's nice to have a whole day to yourself...

That's a cool looking frame Troy. Is that really where you are going to mount the battery?

Yes. Keeps the CG low and gets the yaw off the ground. I've always mounted them there without any issues.

I would probably lose a lipo if I mounted it on the bottom. On second thought, mine usually lands on it's top when I screw up and loose orientation. LOL

Very cool design Tim. Look forward to seeing the flight videos in the future. Plenty of room for a video camera under there.

Very cool and different. To me, (not that I know what I'm talking about) it looks like it would be more stable if you flipped it upside-down and mounted the camera in the "U". Can't wait to see the results.

Time will tell...

This will have the Pulso 2814/22's mounted on it and is made just for the GoPro and the Canon A640. I've built in 2 degrees of angle on the front motor mounts as well.

Gary, what's your new Avatar?

That is a Piper Cub PA-12 Super Cruiser by Pilot 1. My wife bought one for me as a Christmas present. It's still in the box and "hands off till Christmas". I'm trying.

All of the most prolific designers and builders have been captured by aliens and have been programed to design VTOL craft that will eventually be used against them to conquer Earth. We are currently researching ways to deprogram them but everyone that has tried has also succumbed to the plot. It's looking grim and hopeless. We can only hope it will wear off before it is too late.

PS - There are rumors that the Wii Corporation is actually run by extra-terrestrials (only a rumor).

No. I printed out the ad and left it on the kitchen table. A few days later a big box arrived from Hobby-Lobby that I was not allowed to open. I wonder what that could be?
