I know the monster 32 is a 42-50. I'm sure hobbyking may have a good quality 42-50. I don't know all of their brands but this seems to have had a few good reviews:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=2099 I have a 35-48 of the same make and it works very well. Apart from that, i buy my stuff from hobbypartz or Headsup Rc. Here's a 42-48. http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...lectric/Detail |

I've completed structural repairs to my L-4. The horizontal stab broke in a few spots so I need to basically re-cover it. I'm either going to cover it all with Litespan and and paint in the dull olive drab again or just get some olive drab monokote and it will be shinnier than the rest of the plane. I don't have a cowl yet but will probably try to fly it again this weekend. I still need to put the right/down thrust in the motor.
For motor I put the 35-48 from headsup rc in it. I'm running it with 3300 3s. I also have 4s to try but need to put a UBEC in as the Hyperion Atlas ESC has a linear BEC that won't work well with 4S and 4 Servos. The specs for the 35-48 say it's good for 70oz plane which mine is pretty close too since I opted not to put the flaps in. As I have stated before, it's a Cub not a Reno Air Racer... I have an Emax motor that might be more appropriate for it. I'll look into swapping it out. I was going to use it on my CMP T-34 but it is only rated for 3s or 4s and I will most likely use 5s in it. I got some EMP-style 13X8 props from RC timer to try. |

I didn't get my Hobbypartz order in time either... Both the motor and the 60a ESC were sold out...
So I ordered this from Hobbyking TR-4250 600kv The 700kv is the better match, but I wanted to try the lower kv and larger prop... EDIT: If You swarm sale the 700kv one it's $16.80 Turnigy Brushless ESC 85A w/ 5A SBEC It's overkill, but I like the 5A SBEC and the on/off switch with this Speed Control. The price is good and my brother likes the one he uses in his 70inch slick. Now I'm just waiting on the slow boat from China... ![]() |

It can take awhile...

I use HobbyKing anyway because i try to plan ahead and use the newest order later on for that next project or build. Plus the prices are really the most rock bottom i have found for quality RC airplane electronics merchandise. HeadsUpRC.com is my latest rave for great shipping cost and speed. I would consider their low prices an excellent buy for conus. Their website product useage advice is the best i know of and certainly must contribute to their success .js |

Actually they work fine, you put the hub on the front side and the X-mount at the back. The motor I have is the same configuration. |
