Thats a pretty long flight time considering you are only using about 55% of the pack.

It's great! I'm very happy with it! The Edge is even lighter than my Extra.. I plan on seeing longer flights (8.5-9)with the edge..

It has allot to do with the Torque motor and Xoar prop.. The motor is sweet!! Everything is tight, there's no play anywhere, and the gaps are all perfect! It's the nicest motor I've owned.. Also the props are perfectly balanced and draw lower amp's than a APC..

That was kinda my thought on this set up. As a gas guy 7 minutes just seems too short for me. Guess its a trade off.

I will use the 6s when I feel like just beating the thing to death for a short period.

Thanks.

Should of been a bit more clear. We were suppose to be there earlier in the day with the kids for lunch but it turned into dinner. By the time we got around that area your shop was already closed. But now I know where you at. My kids go to school down Jericho in Bellerose.

I pre ordered the Blue and Yellow. think im going to start out 6cell 3300mah 15x6 prop. Can't wait for the temps in the northeast to warm up and get the plane in the sky. What do you guys think about 3 225mgs and 1 5245mg in the elevator? Just don't want to put 225s in if they arn't that great of a servo.

Im going with the power combo too (motor and Speedo)

hercdriver7777,

Are you still flying the 60" on 6s/3000 20c Bluelipos? I think you said you were getting around 7 minutes with these. Is this still the case?

I'm pulling the trigger on batteries this evening and I'd like to start with some inexpensive packs until I decide if I like the size. Batteries are the last item I need (besides the plane) and I'm ready to go.

Chris or Curtis,

You mentioned the 60" is coming with the spinner. Which color are you shipping with the red, white, and blue scheme?

Yep, those are the batteries I am still using and they work great. One of my problems is that the more I fly a plane, the more I really fly the plane and use up the batteries. So, my timer now is down to about 5:30 which is on par with most electrics that I fly.

Hercdriver,

What about 3300 or 3600 packs? Too heavy?

I ran the 4000 nanotechs 5S 40-90c which is a fairly heavy pack and it handled them just fine. I would not worry for one second about 3300-3600 5 or 6 S..

Thanks, I have everything but the batteries, and I know what to order now.

Any word on how this would fly with a Motrolfly 3620-750, a Xoar 15x8 and a 35c 4s 4000?

I'm leaning toward this as well so I can use my existing 4s batt's, really don't want to invest in a bunch of new batt's right now. I will probably use an APC 15x8 prop though seeing as I already have some. Anyone know what size esc is recommended for the 3620-750? I'm thinking an 80 amp should be enough.
