Just flew 2 batteries on fiala 16x 8 and my edge got a new life in it! If on vess 16x6 even ti get a decent KE i needed a load of throttle than now only around 50% vess was stupid power but too slow but fiala is SICK power and plenty fast! Its around 78A and nearly 1700w! (well 166-something but you get the point) add a couple watts and there will be people flying 71"slick on less!

Does anybody in the US handle fiala props?

Im not in usa... And amps could vary depending on batts, your altitude...and fiala pulls less amps because its like 15.5 not 16"...


sheeeesh! im happy that you guys talked me into going higher than 16x6 propeller!

ooh... and btw i finally figured how i can assingn all control surface rates to a single switch on my dx8!

So I am confused are you saying the fiala prop that says its a 16" prop really only measures 15"?

i was actually also surprised about that... i just noticed that it looks just a tad taller than my aeronaut 15x8, just out of curiosity i put it besides vess 16x6, and it turned out to be just a tad shorter. after i dug up my ruler, and turned out that fiala was 15.5" not 16" long... (anyways im much happier with fiala than i was with my vess) so its just curious fact... if any of you also having a fiala could measure it, would be interesting to see...

one guy here on rcg went gas on mxs... he said all is well, just tail didnt really stand up to vibration....

I wanted gas but there are no 12-18cc engines to my knowledge besides the converted Saito's which still just run and sound like a Saito only at twice the price.

A dle20 would be too heavy in comparison to the 1.00fs. 6oz heavier I think. Not to mention all the extra ply and epoxy needed to reinforce the firewall.

It shouldn't take much to redo the firewall for the nitro. The Saito has new bearings and runs smoothly with little vibration.

I'm just not an E guy and can't afford anything bigger right now so this is it!

Yeah, Jake. Welcome to the club, I'm expecting video's. Are you getting this to tide you over till you get your bigun?

Saitos are pretty smooth so you may not have vibration issues. I will be curious to hear of your results and hopefully see some videos.

Nice find. There are 8 in stock at this link. Aside from a customer service complaint, the reviews are generally good. I wonder if anybody put it on a 3D plane. One guy has a 15x8 prop, so it might do well.
