elevator to harrier landing...it worked?

I am so hard on landing gear as it is, I only do those in the sim, just in case I ever have to in real life.

Yeah, no wind at all yesterday, really helped me out. My elevator to harrier to hover transition is really smooth now. I'm getting to the point where I'm dangerous now. I'll probably lose a plane in the next few weeks, I'm sure....

Elevator landings with the Edge are the only way to go, this plane was made for it. I'm with you on the dangerous comfort level, when I'm really feeling the groove it usually leads to repairs or replacement parts. My poor Edge has been through some serious repairs at least six times. I have two fuses and if I hurt one too bad I just keep the spare ready to go and swap out the receiver. I need to repair or replace the elevator/hor stab on my spare right now.

Thanks bud. Indeed it does! I was surprised because I was able to get more rotation out of the 60" Edge than I was out of the 48" MXS. Maybe it is a size thing, I'd bet the 64" MXS is a beast at tumbling.

I'm hoping to find out this week how much of a beast the 64" MXS is. If the weather cooperates that is.

i haven't done an elevator landing yet.

A guy caught some of my flying on video today (on the slick). My flight before was better which i tried to film it myself but the phone stopped recording. I must have hit record twice on the phone but I count it would have been very visible anyway. oh well.

That's not a problem, that's an insurance policy.

Nice job Wingbreaker! I saw some nice rolling harrier practice- kept it going for a while too- great! The harrier is coming along nicely, as is the elevator. I haven't had a 51" slick, but had a 42", and it wing rocked until I got the wing fully stalled- you might be able to get a deeper harrier to make your wings more steady. It really makes harrier landings easier and will give you a better sense of control (at least it did for me). For the record, none of my EXP's wing rock in the transition...they are smooooooth....

Thanks for sharing, even if it isn't an EXP!
