What ESC are you using with this combo?

I got some new 6S 3300mha batteries for my MXS. I've been using the Haiyins from the beginning and they work great. I don't recommend it but I have been very bad and not heeded the 2C rate but they still work like new. I just received 2 sky and 2 GForce lipos. I won't have a chance to use them for probably 2 more weeks but thought people might like to see the size and weight difference. I think it's interesting that a 3300mah 30C battery from 3 different mfg. are so variable in weight. 121g is allot of weight on a 60" airframe. That's over a 1/4 pound. (1/4lb = 114g)

Liberty10 reason I asked us because I have some sky 3000 30C batts that weigh 497g

All 3 battery's posted are 3300 30C, No velcro on the GForce or Sky's yet so add maybe 2g. to those. The GForce comes with Deans so I can use them straight up. The Skys come with polarized bullets and will get switched to power poles. I have a ton and the crimp tool for them. I left the deans on my airboss ESCs and use an adapter to connect power poles.

Battery weights are almost always WRONG! I always ask someone who has one before I buy!

I could see them being off weight but the smaller batt weighing more then the bigger that's weird.

a bit dissapointed in covering.. i was hoping to replace yellow on the bottom wings with white and (if i manage to source red bull vinyl) remove yellow top of the wings...
but meeeh, its beautiful the way it is so im still happy!! anyway covering was done much better than on my mxs! !

landing gear seems to be similar strength to my 57", so i should be happy!

only unpleasant surprise was... where is all carbon on landing gear plate???
yeah, i know, carbon is expensive, etc, etc, etc... but any of my 3dhs planes has simply bulletproof landing gear block!! in edge, well, i will fly it and see! (should i only ca it? or epoxy-fibreglass-gorilla glue whatever with it?)

it seems strange to see foam under turtledeck...


ooh! almost forgot! very nice touch is that everything except tail servo slots in covering is precut!

well... those was my unpacking-prebuild-preflight impressions!

No worry for the landing gear mount. It is super strong by design. You will break many CF LGs before the mount even gets a crack.

Anyway congrats on your purchase - a flying buddy bought one when we went to a show and he loves his....and it's so floaty it flies effortlessly

well... let me put it this way... if on any of my 3dhs planes gear-lg plate outlives plane by far but on my 48 mxs im on my second repaired landing gear... is it me who needs to learn to land or is it plane needing stronger gear...
if you get one bad ESC (your first time buy on that particular company) and wrech your plane ,wont you think trice about buying esc again from them even if there is a lot of people with good reviews?

everything is in comparisons... and i said learn to land speaking about 3dhs planes, not EF...

I finally maiden'ed mine today. Wind was right down the runway at 12G22. Not the best wx for a maiden flight, but I was sick of putting it off. Plane flew great, and only needed a couple clicks of trim. Definitely has rocket ship power with the 6S on the Torque/Airboss combo. I can't wait to have some better weather conditions so I can see how stable she really is.
