Be careful with flaperon spoileron mix setup.
I had one on another plane and forgot it was on and did a down line into parachute at low height. Let's just say the wings don't fly too well with both ailerons pointing upward.
Slammed it into the ground wot, ripped out rudder and broke the prop .

I disabled that mix afterwards

I have had great luck with the torque. I tried one on my 60 edge while my motrolfly was getting redone. It was awesome!!

I need some help with keeping my horizontal stabilizer to stay glued in. On Saturday was doing some harrier landings and must have jarred it lose and when trying to take back off she went about 3 feet up and smacked down hard knocking and busting up the gear plate . I am going to try and fix but need some options why I can't keep the stablizer to stay attached. Thanks Kelly

Do I have to connect one AIL to aux in the Rx??

Thank you so much!!!
You need to go into Wing Type and change it from Normal to Flapperons. Left aileron goes into ch6, Right into ch2. Then u need to inh the flap swtich in Device menu so u don't accidentally bump the switch and have your ailerons become full flaps or spoilers. Then u need to mix flaperons to Elevator.

Thank you so much.
Other question:
when I do up elevator both AIL have to go up, what about when I apply down Elevator? both Ail have to go UP as well?

Thank you so much for your time!!

If it's not staying in place, you may not have a clean enough joint to use CA glue, so here is what I would do...

Go to the LHS and buy some music wire about 12 inches long.
From the back of the plane, move the rudder to one side.
I'd also take the servos out of the empannage to do this.
Mix some 30 minute epoxy.
Through the hole in the back of the stab, I would use the music wire to spread the epoxy on the inside seam between the fuse and the stab.
Doing the top is easier than the bottom, but with the servos out, the bottom will be easier.
Do't use too much epoxy because you will be adding weight in a sensitive spot with regard to the CG.
30 minute epoxy will have time to settle into the seam between the fuse and the stab.
Let it cure for at least 24 hours, but if done correctly, the stab will break before the glue joint will.

Thanks for the advice with epoxying the stablizer. I can't stand that I banged up such a beautiful airframe I went ahead and ordered a new body and cowl.

When I do the aileron mix, I put them on a slider switch. I can cause the aileron to move from level to any degree of up position I want. Of course the ailerons still move properly for steering but the rest position is raised. I do not like it to ever push the ailerons down....

Yes. I would start with a 15-25% mix to start then go up or down as you like.

Hi All,

I took the plunge and ordered one. Gonna run a DM4315-480 with a lightened x-mount on it. Do I need standoffs, and if so, how long?

Thanks in advance guys.

Congrats! You will be very happy you did! I used .5 inch squares of plywood that I made up.

If you got the motrolfly 4315 480 and dont like the 16x8 prop you can switch to 15x8 and this thing is still a beast! I was overshooting on slow turnaround maneuvers when bliping the throttle and switched to the 15x8 and it smoothed things out.

Yep!! I have gotten a wooded dowel rod about 1/2" dia. The cut to the size u need and them drill a hole in the middle. I have used up to 3/4" stuff.

And the 16-8 is the best for me. I did dial down my end points to not pull but 60a.
