Yeah, but it was the earlier 79xx series that were the root of the problem covered on a 290 page FG thread that got pretty nasty, but there was a firmware update, I'm told, with no reconciliation.

i have a set on the way.

the savöx sh1250 did disapoint me a lot....no power at high speed.

A little wide, but the specs look really good with all the voltage options you could ask for.

These, and the JR 3711 are going to be head and shoulders above the non-HV digitals though, so it's tough to compare. Futaba guys will go here and the JR's guys will go to the 3711's.

thats right....and i am more the futaba guy.
making the slot a little wider will be the smallest problem.

basicly i think you wont come around using hv servos for the edge/extra in case you want best performance. all others are either a little weak or slow or heavier (bls551)

I have 7245's in my Extra. They are pretty bad ass. I wanted just one plane with "the best of the best", but I don't know if they're really worth an extra $170 to me. I was planning on getting an Edge and outfitting it with cheapy servos like 225MG's and a 5245 on elevator. That's what my friend has in his Edge and it seems to fly really well. HV's are pretty dang cool though.

Has anyone used the Hitec 7245s on 6 volts? or do the they need more voltage to make them work?

So far except for the speed of the servos which really doesn't detract from them the ATX 94820 servos are really great servos for the price. Im currently building a new RWB 60" and will run the Futaba servos. I took Hercs advise and got some of the ATX servos and I have to agree I think they are pretty bullet proof for this plane.

6v is fine, the specs on 6v are still respectable, more torque than a 225/5245 and not bad speed. They of course get better with higher voltage, but even 6v isn't bad.

Can you post a link where you got your servos and are you using a separate BEC? I am still learning
