I'm going to try bending the landing gear forward sounds like it might work. I really did not want to do belly landings because it would damage the paint on the bottom of the fuse.

Just on the verge of ordering one. One question if I may; Is the stab and rudder permamently mounted or can it be disassembled and put back in the box? The link to the manual on the web doesn't work.

The rudder is permanant and part of the fuse.
The elevator goes in a slot and then 2 large foam rod/pins goes thru the fuse from the bottom and anchors the elevator. Unless you can find a way to make those rod/pins removeable it's meant to be permanant although they are not glued in. Just a tight friction fit. It does mention in the manual to install them correctly because trying to remove them can cause breakage.

Yep, but it works good, infact I'm removing them as we speak.
I inserted a 2mm carbon fiber rod into the smaller plug and was able to wiggle it out.
I think with the larger plug I'll have to CA the CF into the plug and leave a small tit to grab and pull it out. I was also curious about this, but it looks like it's no problem as long as you prep your pins to be removable.

I got both plugs out in the same manner with the 2mm cf rod inserted all the way and the wiggle out.
Now I'm hot gluing the cf rod in permanently and leave a small stub to be able to grab should I want to take it apart again for transport or any other reason.
Thanks for bringing this up and making me do what I should have done before I put it together. but it's nice to know it can be done even after it's assembled.

I got the Mustang tonight and assembled it. Overall I am really impressed with this pup. I think I am gonna love it! Its a great value for the price and you can't beat it! Looks like its gonna be a really fun electric. A few guys in the club are ordering them and we plan on some crepe paper combat.

I added the pictures so you can get an idea of how easy it is to build. I put a deans on it. It balanced really easy with a 2200 lipo.

I noticed the note earlier about taking it apart for transport. You could easily remove the wings. You would only need to disconnect the servos to the ailerons, which can be y-harnessed if you like bc they include a Y in the kit, then take out the wing bolt and the two wing halves can be separated and transported easily.

Hopefully I can take this out this weekend and get some feedback for you folks.

I'm glad you were as impressed as I was with this great bang for the buck war bird.
The only improvement I made was bending the landing gear forward and added 2" wheels.
This might help for short grass take off and it actually looks better too.
