Nice job on the install.
Thanks
thanks microdan
ya shaft is the same size as the stock motor
the new motor sticks out about 1/4" more then the stock motor
so i moved the cowl out a 1/4"
and they used blue Threadlocker on the back of the stock motor mount

Hi bhcnomo
How did the landing gear mod work out for you. I need to mod mine and like your mid since it keeps the same gear and doesn't add too much to the bottom of the wing.

OK I want one of these. What is the going deal on them? Any free shipping or discount codes around? Also why does your Mustang in Real Flight sound so much better than mine? I have 5.5 and mine sounds nothing like yours.

http://www.towerhobbies.com/ right on the front page free shipping.
Mustang is $115 use the coupon codes they send you as a Tower member for a discount.
If you're not a member a given code code won't work for you anyway.

Here's how I gid it, I took 2 small pieces of a hard wood and made 2 notches 1 in each side of the wood pieces to match the diameter of the wire.
I then clamped the u hook end of the wire between the wood strips and bent it so the front of the wheels center point were just visible when looking down on the wing. The way I bent them as close to the point where they slip into the wing gives you the forward tilt while keeping the maximum possible height clearance for the belly. I hope this helps...

because I fly at a local park I took the landing gear off my mustang, when landing she slides across the grass about two feet before coming to an abrupt stop. this is a very cool plane, just wish the paint did'nt come off so easy.

So did you launch over hand or under hand?

I am still debating which I will try if the weather ever lets me try.

Underhand is the way to go! Overhand is awkward and there isn't a good spot to grab. I had never done underhand until I did this plane so I was a little anxious. Really it went pretty smooth, and I haven't had a problem.
