Thanks Don.......also looking forward to your general impressions of the Evo fan.

Also....although the rotor comes balanced...is it more difficult for you to balance a rotor that has more blades?

I need to find me an airframe to test the fan out in. Never balanced a 9 blade rotor before will see how it goes!

just looked at your site and saw they are using 3.17 ????

seems like most are going to a min of 4mm at this size fan , 70mm correct?

i wont use 3.17 in any of my 70's , just to much flex . if u get any fod and things go slightly out of balance , snap goes the shaft!

chuck.

Wemotec tested them already. With the 2W-20, ~820 watts, ~56 amps, and thrust 3 pounds of thrust. No loss of performance compared to the 5 blade Wemotec Mini Pro and uses the same outlet diameter so you should have the same speed as before if you were running the 2W-18 and Wemo Pro 480 but now the sound of the 9 blade rotor :-)

I have a shipment of Wemotec Mini EVO 70mm fan units on the way as well as a few extra EVO rotors and 4mm adapters. I should have the Wemotec order in about 8 -10 days depending on the post office delivery. I also have a shipment of HET 2W-20 and 2W-25 motors arriving tomorrow and a few HET 6404 fan units. I also have a shipment of Wicked EDF motors and FlyFun 40 amp ESC on the way as well so the website will be getting restocked on some items over the next week or so.

Good thing you have more inventory coming, with everyone buying those $34 Phase 3 EF-16 you're going to be awfully busy!

I went with option B.

Thanks for the fast shipping and your build logs. A+ service!

First, I want to see if anyone actually does it lol.

Second, It proves people read customer comments.

The shipping people at my old job drew highly detailed pictures on packages, at least I only ask for a shark.
