Barnes Park (west location) Davis County, 200 N Exit 328 in Kaysville: Features North South paved parking lot for geared planes. There is a house just to the south of it and businesses to the north , so for that reason above all, I suggest electric only. Park style planes since the runway is not that long. The grass is wide open though. You will have to compete with the children during various seasons. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...=UTF8&t=h&z=16 Barnes Park (east location) Davis County, 200 N Exit 328 in Kaysville: All we usually fly here is small park flyers like slowsticks. This is our primary night flying location. We have done combat here, but not really a whole lot of room for that. Making hits over the middle of the field is a must, due to the close proximity of houses, trees, people, fences, traffic etc... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...=UTF8&t=h&z=16 Davis County, exit 334, Weber State Davis Campus: The facility to look for is the Fairfield LDS Church. Enter the parking lot and go to the far east end. There is a large runway there. Light poles are you obstacles. The University allows us to fly there with the assumption that we have AMA. There is housing to the south, please dont fly over them. The grass is usually not conducive to geared planes but with enough snow, will do fine with ski planes. Large field for combating and other ruckus activities. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...38581&t=h&z=15 South Davis Modelers: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=4...21501&t=h&z=16 Pioneer Park in Kaysville: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=h&...7,0.01075&z=17 WSUD field in Layton: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=4...21501&t=h&z=16 Pack Sod Farm (South Davis Co.) http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...f54b2d233ac32c Weber County flying locations Video:

Remote Possibilities RC Club Here is a google maps link to the Remote Possibilities RC club field in St. George. The Google aerial images are out of date and do not show the field or the roads to it, but the pointer is in the right location. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=37.044...,0.070896&z=14 Remote Possibilities RC Club Here's a link to the map on their web site. They are an AMA club so you need AMA membership to fly in their events. I don't think the field is open to the public but you'd have to ask somebody else about that. http://www.remoterc.com/images/new_field_map_lg.gif One more try: This will get you close, then go back to map above and follow it from the power plant. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...89779&t=h&z=14 Other flying locations Rush Valley Lake Bed: Good thermaling area. Location A is a Pony Express marker on the way to Faust from 5 mile pass (motor cycle riding area) http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...44889&t=h&z=15 Bridgerland RC Club http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=3885392 Blue Skies Over Colorado (BSOC) http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...59116&t=h&z=12 |
