dropped an order today as i learned to fly my first edf on a smaller version of the exceed f18(1300 mah lipo). I have read so many bad comments on the retracts so I decided to go w/ the fixed gear. Anyone know of any good retracts that can be added to this bird???? Any mods that are a must do??? Just wondering if she will be under powered.
Thanks,Eric

Nitro has this f-18 on sale till midnight. Ive been waiting for Hobby lobby to get thier frewing f-18 in... My edf time is with the freewing f-35.
Cansome one compare to the f-35, and freewing f-18, in the area's
1. flight performance. t/0 and landing lenght needed.
2. quality.
3. durability.
4. support from vender's, availibilty of parts. Ive waited 6 months for a
f-35 nosecone, thats still not in stock.
Thanks Lee

Does nitroplanes sell the rods for the main gear on their site?

I've broke mine off, make sure the mating of the landing gear is flush with the rod holder so there are no bends in the rods upon landing.

There are these. The trunnions are metal.

Looks pretty much like the Exceed ones, but a better price than Nitroplanes.

I don't think they are though. I don't have the Exceed Jet but I'm pretty sure that the retracts aren't metal like these. They are the Chansun metal trunnion & gear retracts. I have a set on my Venom F-86 & they are nice & strong. A lot stronger than say Eflite retracts.

I think they just ad the exceed struts to them.
