I might have missed it, but what flight times did you get on the 3300 and the 3600? I've got both...

Thanks!

...Jman, your build videos are what every airplane kit shoud have! Your F-18 looks great and am looking forward to your flight impressions....while assigned to naval airstations, i always enjoyed the show when the Angels came to town...regarding my battery time, with stock avionics, i was setting the timers for 4minutes 15seconds starting on the rollout, and would be on the deck at the 5minute mark...with the HET system, at 4minutes i better be on the deck, hope that helps as a guideline...

After looking at mine the only place I would think you could do it would be on the bottom of the inlets but I would say go fly it first and see if you even need them, I got a feeling
That it will get plenty of air any way

I thinking the same thing, guess we'll just have to wait till the maiden which will probably be pushed back further because were getting more soon, even as we speak

What I did today

Had some time today so here are a few things I did:
  • Moded the battery compartment
  • Did a power test
  • Add wingtip missiles
  • Did something pretty cool to the second canopy/cockpit

Power test with the cyclone motor on 4s:
On a fully charged 3000mah 4cell 40c battery this plane almost hovered!!! I think this is going to be one fast plane

What I did with the second canopy:
I used the second canopy to make an on board camera mount. So if I ever want to get some on board camera action I can just switch out the canopies.

j3tman,

You might get a better idea with the pictures:

I think if i had a lighter battery it would hover, but then the flight times would be really short. I do think I am going to get some smaller 4cell batteries and just do some fast passes and climbs then bring her down but not sure yet its all up to the maiden.
