Well I hate to say i left my cover because I have a weight problem LOL. If i were to try to secure it again I would use the Loc-Tite no mess adhesive (or now called "Stick N Seal" )outdoor no mess water clean up. I know it is a mouth full but it works as a Canopy Glue,Servo setting glue. Glues plastic to foam and other crap. Try it and you just might like it.

Anyone get their plane with retracts but doesn't use them? What i am looking for is the cable that was used for the pull-pull system. I want to use that for my gear doors. I used a rubber band the first time i set it up but when the wind catches it they flap open. I think my guitar string idea for the pull-pull will be fine but too think for the doors. Thanks in advance guys.
p.s. if you use guitar string for your pull-pull. Use the High - e string (.09 or .10 thickness) |

Merlin, you need to put your plane on a diet! Ok, with all the glue ideas, can I easily remove the plastic cover with these suggested glues? I have been using a hot glue gun. That sh@$t sticks good when u don't want it to.
Xfatdannx. Is that your post about the string . Use fishing line. You can buy cable fishing line of various sizes. Including steel, braided line will work great. |

Crazy day at the field...1st attempt...Perfect, 100%, beautiful take off, flight, landing, you know, the works. 2nd attempt. pffft! Steers off course at full speed, hits the grass BOOM! all 3 retracts ripped out!!! Nothing broke, all three had the wood mounts rip from the foam/adhesive, easy fix (if i so choose to). Was about to pack up and leave after picking everything up and some guy i never met before showed up with a Habu, Stryker, and a tiny 4s powered T-28! (CRAZY fast!!!! he clocked it at 125 before!!!!) Anyway, i talked him in to hand launching for me and i flew one flight as a belly lander, 3rd attempt, perfect also! all in all good day. 2 battery packs and 2 successful flights...some minor damages to wings. But nothing that bad really. I will update with pics later if anyone wants to see em

Sorry about the mishap.
Things can go crazy very quickly in our world. At least she is repairable. How did you like flying without the retracts? Was the e-flite 3200kv and fan an easy upgrade? I couldn't help it. The devil made me do it. At least that is what I am telling my wife when the big brown box shows up tomorrow! I ordered a kit only version of this plane last week. ![]() Reno |
