Here is a nice read about the l2855-2100kv vs a HET 2w30.

Looks like the HET is better on 6s but if you want to be a little more economical, the turnigy works good with the cs70 on 5s.

i've heard it before...no issues here boys

A little higher if memory serves, amps around 68 and watts closer to1000. I plan on metering it again upon completion of the new airframe.

So got my hobby king order for my LEDs straightened up and ended up placing two more orders (I really got to delete that bookmark! lol). I ordered a Turnigy 85amp ESC and couple Nano-tech 2650 batteries.
Also on a separate order a back ordered Turnigy L2855-2800 motor to try with the CS10 fan. Might as well give it a whirl!

Figured out it was my 60amp Turnigy plush ESC that croaked on the bench, not the motor so going to run up both motors on the bench and compare numbers and sound. Will probably take video.

Keep us posted man! i would LOVE to see the outcome.

On another note. I had major gear malfunctions today. Couldn't get off the ground. I was gonna hand launch but i decided to keep this one nice, especially since those airframes are so frickin cheap right now!!! I want to get the jolly rogers but would settle for the diamond viper. (Or mig-15)

The Airframe is such a good flyer but the Landing gear just plain stinks. A real shame as the plane deserves working retracts. I flew it a few times today and the ESC is not even warm and neither is the battery really after 4:30 min.s of flight.

The airframe is also an amazing hand launcher and belly lander. Over sized exhaust nozzles allow a light toss and high up wing design with great lifting surface canard+delta makes her gentle for touch down... I would buy this airframe over and over leaving off all gear. E-tracts just aren't very good yet. A navy jet landing gear isn't modeled yet. Maybe a light airforce gear.
Give it 2 more years.
